Looking for fun cheap co-op games on the switch with track or level creator. Whether its racing games with track creator or brawler games with level creation etc. Seems hard to find games these days with a simple creator mode to play around with and make something for some co-op fun.

I was thinking more along the lines of games where you can create tracks or arenas to vs friends. Haven't played any of the mario makers but im guessing you just make platformers?

We made a room in Mario Maker 2 where you get zelda swords and use them to volley bombs back and forth like tennis balls until it explodes and one of you is hit.
The floor is gradually eaten away by all the craters until one of you falls out.
It's more like a Smash Bros arena than a platformer level. (And Smash Bros also has a level editor, BTW)
There are also literal racing cars in the game.
Oh really, I'll have to definitely check it out then! I just assumed it was making your typical sidescroller levels. Didnt even know super smash had a level creator either, thanks for the heads up

Yeah I saw that page, didn't really have anything.
Tony Hawk Pro Skate 1 & 2 has a level editor, but I haven't messed with it or multiplayer…

Had my eye on it. Looks fun, would have been nice if it wasn't just 2 player split screen though. Would be nice if something like modnation racers came out but seems there has been nothing anywhere near it.
TBH the level design aspect of it will kill the search. There's plenty of good couch co-op games (Boomerang-Fu can be really fun) without throwing that in the mix
Yeah got boomerang fu last sale and just got speed runners. Both easy fun. Would just be nice to be able to create something to play.

Not only can you create and share the levels, you also sort of build on that level together every time you play (you add traps, platforms, items, etc as part of the main gameplay). Fun and often hilarious.(Just google and confirm the couch co-op and level editing/sharing features in these games are included in the Switch version. I assume so, but we've only played them on PC, since they are much cheaper or free on PC. And Nintendo can be sleazy about user generated content sometimes).
