I have been eying this speaker since April. It was OOS up until a couple of weeks ago. Does not have built-in batteries like JBL Partybox 310 but it is much more powerful and has better bass and sub-bass. selling for $999 elsewhere.

    hi OP is this suitable to carry on the train in peak hour while everyone's barely awake? planning to blast eetswa ogday music Monday to Friday, thanks in advance

      It is 30 kg and has a handle and wheels but not a telescopic handle. I would get JBL Partybox 310 if I want to move it a lot.

    Good price, I have the partybox 300 wish I chose next level up, but is great as it is, used to use it in the garage for weight training, but moved house and need to concrete a slab for my gym space, so go to the commercial gym at the moment

    Does "The Good Guys Commercial" mean that you have to be affiliated with a commercial company and have an ABN or something like that to create an account?

      No you don't need an ABN, to get an account you need have access to something else. For example I have Union shopper and one benefit of that is good guys commercial

        Can you please share the procedure to open an account without having to provide ABN, Company Name and Website, etc…? I've tried to register but all those corporate details are required.
        I do have a Union Membership but am not sure how to get Union Shopper.

      I myself called a store and mentioned TGG Commercial price. They matched the price and sent me an invoice to pay by sms. YMMV.

      $667 does seem a good deal.

      I sadly dont have access to Good Guys Commercial.

      I saw it demonstrated today in JB HiFi at Green Hills NSW.

      It was pretty impressive and bloody loud. It's lights were far better than the Sony XP700 which they also demonstrated.

      I asked the guy which of the two he preferred - Sony XP700 or JBL 710. He said the JBL without a doubt.

      I want one and if I can get one for $667 I'll buy it. Now to either get access to GG Commercial or convince someone to price match.

    Picked up my 710 for $667 today at JB HiFi. I paid with 14 x $50 gift cards that I got at 15% off about a year ago - so overall a pretty sweet deal.

    The thing is HUGE! I can only imagine how big the 1000 is!
