Ooh I do love a bit of 3 ply for that extra softness on the bot bot
    Oh just realised they’re tissues.

      Your bum won't complain.

      • +10

        Your fingers will though.

    • So… this is for Extra Thick Facials?

  • +5

The cheap Coles ones have been unavailable locally.
You get twice as many for half as much and they do the job.

    • +9

The tissue and TP section of a couple of my local Coles stores are looking like 2020 all over again.

      • Yes, completely OOS at both my local WW & Coles for nearly a month.

      • +1

Same. Aldi was the last one standing and they had some stock after Coles & Woolies had run out, but sadly they have now joined them. Only the expensive boxes of 95 or 110 tissues are available. I don't need those, I want the cheap crap 224 in a box.

  • +5

    Anyone else prefer 2ply?

    • +17

The amount of these tissues the missus and the baby use, I am looking for 1ply tissues.

      • +11

Just grab a box of Coles brand and they separate into one ply automatically 😂

The box of 12 purchased last year on special at $12.95
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/639466
are still going but read the comments recently that the quality is now different.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/710318#comment

So yesterday I bought just one of these at Aldi ($2.19) to check, yes they had low supply.

Oh yes, its is not the same tissue as last year. This one is two thin tissues which fall apart and so scratchy.
So glad I only bought one box to check on earlier comments.
    Won't buy these again.

    • Was about to say that the ones I've recently purchased haven't had this sharp decline in quality but just looked at the box and it's the 95pk "Soft & Thick".

Idk maybe only the 110pk extra thick have this problem?

    • Agree to this. The 3ply feels like 1ply

      • +1

        I appreciate everyone's comments.

Just sharing my experience - In my batch last month, the 3 ply Quilton (this deal) is very strong. Usually I require two of the 2 Ply Woolies/Coles branded ones and even a blow causes it to rip, but these Quilton ones I only need 1 and it doesn't rip.

    • +1

I have both of these delivered monthly on S&S. My last batches were OK. I've never had a problem with these ones provided by Amazon.
The Quilton 3 Ply Aloe Vera is also currently discounted to $12.15, but I think it's only for those who already have a standing order on them.

  • Not a bargain. Just back in stock.

    • +1

Considering lack of supplies, it’s a bargain for now

      • -1

In these times of tissue shortage, I consider a bargain to be keeping a Quilton bog roll nearby for my noggin requirements. Boggers are not in short supply and provide the same result.

    • Agreed. These have been in stock quite regularly.

Eg. I had some delivered last weekend.

      • +2

        Why did you upvote?

        • Because I like the product and it will still help those who weren’t aware.

    • -1

Tissues seem to be back in stock everywhere now. Checked Aldi today and they had heaps of boxes.

    • 🫵

  • 2022? More like 2020 too with recent stock levels.

  • +1

110 tissues per box. They're half size boxes essentially

  • No deal $1.5 a box for triple ply (above user says they are thin double) get them $1 a box double ply with 225 tissues.

  • Been worth going back to handkerchiefs since the increases. Or I even use a baby wipe and rinse it can usually last a day or more. Trying to train the kids to do the same. Better for the environment too I guess.

    • It’s a water vs woodpulp equation, and the lesser of these evils is not clear. (Naturally, baby wipes are plastic.)

Highest price on Camelcamelcamel. How is this a deal honestly!

    • Supply & demand.

    • +1

Damn, definitely trying out those IGA tissues, second overall and $1.50 for 95 isn't terrible for an allergy sufferer.

      • Several ply TP for the win…unless in public

  • +1

Not much of a deal tbh but I agreed that it was OOS every time I checked so yeah, bought one. Thanks OP.

  • Thanks OP, never ending cycle of colds on our house with kids in daycare/school. Supplies were running low.

    • -8

Agree this isn't a bargain just because it's in stock

      • +2

For people who don’t have stock locally, where are they going to find tissues? This is literally their next best alternative.

Not everyone is lucky enough to find stock locally, and the fact this has sold out shows that they need it. You’ll only realise when the situation strikes you…

  • Went OOS but back in stock now if you press “See All Buying Options”

$20 only, no more Subscribe and Save

    • -1

      Not a big loss…

      • +2

Didn’t downvote you, I understand why you negged but thanks for removing the neg :)

Yes it’s not a deal, but because of scarcity and such, finding stock locally is very hard. So many times I went to aldi etc only to find no stock for TP or tissues. And the time, effort and money it takes to find stock adds up.

  • OOS

  • +3

Looks like some people here might have needed this deal more than others with the way they got worked up about a deal post about tissues that still ended up going OOS. That is hint enough that it was worthwhile to post this as a deal. Thanks OP.

  • Just looking at a previous order and got these for $6 pre-cv to put things in perspective. And many times sub$10

    • +2

The cheapest according to CCC ever in the last 4 years was $12.45 (before S&S) last year

Never has it been sub $10 for 12 boxes of the extra thick 3 ply.

      • CCC does not capture everything. Probably one scan a day or manually updated, but misses it if sold out quickly. I'm looking at the invoices! lol

  • +1

Back in Stock 16/8/22 3pm AEST

    • +1

      Thanks just bought it

  • +1

    Back in stock

  • -2

I wait until it sells for $12 again!
