Hi all, I recently received an email claiming that I have received a $10 Woolworths eGift Card.
The email itself looks legit, but I don't recall signing up for something like this. The email account that received this isn't linked to an everyday rewards account so the sender is [email protected]. Which from what I assume is legit, but haven't clicked on any links in the email itself yet.
Have anyone received anything similar?

What is the address of the link? You can see the address without clicking the link on a computer when you hover the mouse cursor over the link, the link address appears in the bottom left of your browser.
I did a search of that sender in my mailbox and I have a lot of emails from them for woolies egift card I've bought over the years, so the sender email is real.
However, sender email address can also be spoofed.
If you pause your mouse on the link to get the code, and the link starts with giftcards.woolworths.com.au/viewEgiftCard?token=xxxxxxx then it is legit.
Last time I was confuse what's this gift card is for, it was something to do with refund of an online order with Big W (or in your case it could be any of companies under Woolies group). Do make sure you expecting before you click any links

Do you have a Woolworths Mobile account? Have you added your referral code to OzBargain or given to any friends when they signed up? This appears to be the usual $10 Gift Card for any referrals. Update: Just searched my e-mails using the e-mail address you provided. This is the same e-mail address that I've received multiple Woolworths Gift Cards from.
