  • I got myself excited, I thought it was an extra 30% XD

Are these prices considered cheap or standard guys?

    • +6

      Standard at best

I've got one from bunnings for around 500 (wooden version) and it does the job perfectly, with electric sit to stand. Not sure if these ones are worth the extra $$$ but can definitely recommend mine.

  • Anyone have any experience with Desky? Better/worse?

    • +2

      Desky does L-shaped desks

I have 3 Deskys. Got my first one last year, dual motor, just amazing. My partner loved it and got one too but single motor (didn't consult me first lol), but it also works pretty well, just a bit slower and the console is not as cool as the dual motor. Then I got a 3rd one, frame only dual motor, for my other property. Love Desky! Definitely recommend it.

Got a hardwood desky a few months ago, pretty happy with it. All the brands seem pretty similar, I chose desky for the hardwood options and their cable management + integrated power under the desk which works well.

    • +1

My partner has a Desky I think. It's very nice, the integrated cable tray is good quality.

    • I have been in the presence of a bunch of them (friends/colleagues) and personally I prefer the Zen Desk (I bought one). The bamboo looks and feels fantastic, and their customer support is great. Whatever brand you go for make sure you get as many power plugs as you can put into the cable tray - you WILL need them at some point!

Got a Desky Rustic New Zealand Pine (Softwood Range) and the 'paint/varnish' chips on the edges. Other than that, it's OK.

If I were to do it again, I'd get just the legs (dual motor please) and get a hardwood table top from Bunnings and assemble it myself.

I’ve had a omnidesk ascent white for a few months now. No issues and very sturdy. It’s slightly cheaper than desky inc shipping

  • What are the differences between the desk versions? It’s so confusing…

  • Is there still an issue about warranty being voided if you use 3rd party accessories like a non omnidesk powerboard attached to the desk?

Anniversary of what? August? Because they'll have another 30% sale in September. And October. And November :p

I have an Omnidesk Pro 2020 and I'm a big fan of the curve edge tabletop, it's so much more comfortable when you spend many hours per day typing/gaming, no more sore forearms from leaning on a straight edge. My biggest issue with the desk is me, I keep forgetting I can stand up!

I bought a Zenspace Desk in the past few months, this is the price comparison just after EOFY:

All 1800mm dual motor and similar style.

Zendesk - integrated 8 board power, anti fatigue and draw - $1217
    Omnidesk - integrated power - $1011
    Desky - desk only - $1167
    Up down - desk only - $998

    In my opinion:
Best stand-alone desk - Up Down Desk
    Best add-ons - Desky

At the end of the day all very similar products, but went with Zendesk as to get all the same extras would have increased the price of the other desks substantially.

  • Has anyone had any experience with UpDown desks?

Australian company, seems to have good reviews and I really like the look of the recycled Messmate desktop, although it seems very expensive compared to other options.

For those that like to go down rabbit holes, this comment should easily be the reference for getting into motorised desks:

  • Anyone have feedback to the TITUS Desk Mat?
    https://theomnidesk.com.au/collections/ecosystem/products/ti…

The $25 shipping breaks the deal, unfortunately.

  • Can somebody please explain to me the point of knowing down to the decimal point the exact height of the desk on an LED display? What exactly is the value add of knowing that your desk is set to exactly 86.4cm high?

    • +1

If you need to make incremental adjustments to the height it can be handy to know, admittedly after using the desk for a few weeks I have two presets for sitting and standing on don't need to reference this.

      • I mean, knowing the exact number is still kinda superfluous

  • +1

You can get an extra $50 off with coupon codes online. TKNORTH is one I found.

    • I tried using this but couldn't stack it with a bamboo desk.

  • Looking to grab one of these, prob the acadia one. I'm looking at the power management system(clamp) they have and are curious if it sits under the desk in the cable management bar like some of the competitors listed here?

  • Do you need to buy PRIORITY SHIPPING PROTECTION? It says
By Deselecting Shipping Protection, we will not be liable for lost or stolen packages.

  • I've been just spent quite a few hours looking at desks.
My criteria was size to be around 1800x700 with either a curved edge or L shape and under $1000 delivered, around 15 companies looked at with standing desks of similar design, but this criteria ruled out all but 2.

Zenspace zen pro gaming desk 1800x750, black MDF curved edge $858 delivered with cable management tray included
Omnidesk Pro 2020, black MDF curved edge $924 delivered but cable management tray an optional extra.

Assuming the legs and motors are both coming from the same factory, zenspace looks the better deal, plus I saw a random reddit poster that has both and said the zenspace table top is nicer. Plus there is a voucher for $100 off with signup.

Edit: The signup voucher for zen space cannot be used on sale items, even though the email doesn't mention this and just says it can't be stacked with other codes
