The 4th variety Amazon has price matched the Coles special, for those with prime, who don't have Coles handy.

Our luscious new caramel filling, creamier than ever and covered in our super smooth 33% Cocoa Creamy Milk chocolate. Made in New Zealand.

For comparison:

Whittaker's Caramel Block:
250g
35.6g/100g sugar

Cadbury Caramello Block:
180g
53.4g/100g sugar

More sugar, means less milk and cocoa in your chocolate, as mentioned originally by bohdans.

If Amazon has to price match Coles we have a problem Huston .. 😨 .. !!

    • why is that?

  • I've got a minimum purchase of 3 required.

    • Same.

My bad, I must have misread it.

    Appreciate the sugar comparison. Upvoted!

It's on backorder now, however the minimum quantity has disappeared.

    • Looks like it still has the minimum order quantity.

      • +1

Oh yeah, if you add 1 it changes it to 3 in cart.

        • 1 item in your Shopping Cart has changed quantity.
Items in your shopping cart will always reflect the most recent quantity selected by you unless minimum order quantity requirement for any of the items has changed. We have changed quantity for items in your cart to meet the minimum order quantity requirement. For more details, refer to the minimum order quantity message on the product detail page.
Whittaker's Creamy Caramel 250g Block quantity has increased to 3

@HamBoi69: It changed my order to 3 when I added to cart, but I changed it back to 2 and it went through fine.

@digitalbath: Ah yeah, if you go all the way to the checkout and change the quantity there, then it works:

              Order Summary
              Items: $4.00

            • @digitalbath: Oh yeah, if you change it at the checkout, before hitting place order, you can change it to 1! Thanks, I did just that as I didn't want 3!!!

Thanks, bought one just because everyone else was buying them. Will give it a try soon!

Unfortunately, mob mentality is often wrong. The Aldi choccies are far superior. But, having said that, to each their own. It’s perfectly acceptable to enjoy an inferior product

      • +3

This person seriously thinks they’re better somehow simply because they eat Aldi chocolate. What a condescending comment.

        • Agreed. I’m sick of jerks like that polluting the OzBargain comments. Kind of dilutes the extraordinary wisdom being shared here

      • +1

I want to give the aldi one a try, but free shipping direct to my door is my only option for now, but thanks for the info, will definitely try it next time!

How's the Whittakers chocolate itself taste? Is it decent quality?

    • I think it's very enjoyable. Lindt may be slightly better but I haven't tasted them side-by-side to properly compare. I would recommend it as better than Cadbury's

      • +1

Interesting. Not sure of the technical differences, but I prefer Cadbury's milk choc to Lindt…I find lindt too melty/soft in general and sickly sweet, particularly the balls.

        What about Whittaker vs. Haigh's?

  • +3

I was able to buy 1 by clicking 'buy now' instead of adding to cart.

  • Which flavour is best guys?
