        Yeh I haven't tried it myself. I got charged as Coles and was categorised under grocery, but that was on ANZ. Not sure if Hiver would count it

        Edit: Just tried but payment wouldn't go through with my Hiver card. 20% is still a great discount though

        I tried the second transaction and my old mastercard is not working. Tried Hiver, not working. Tried Amex and it's working now so you may want to change card. Oh my Amex transaction, i did on Chrome incognito. Got a message from Hiver to call Fraud team though so suspect they blocked my card and that's why not working.

      Just add multiple $100 giftcards to the same order.

      E.g. 3 x $100, checkout will show $240 payment due.

      It worked for me.

    Having issues with their payment gateway on every browser, best I can do is:

    "We were unable to verify your chosen payment method, please check your details and try again."

    very frustrated they won't take my money for this.

      I simply had to neg this.

      This would be such a fantastic deal if I could make the transaction.

      I have now spent over an hour trying different credit cards, browsers, computers, internet connections - to be rejected every single time.

      Sometimes it tells me it's unable to verify payment method, sometimes it tells me the transactions been cancelled, sometimes it sends 2FA code but refuses to accept it, sometimes the checkout just loops over and over and never offers me the option to put in my credit card details.

      Clearly I am not the only one here with these issues.

      Great deal in theory… worst- and I mean WORST payment gateway I have ever had the displeasure of using…

          Done this and I've contacted them and they said they received error 'do not honour' but I tried contacting Amex and Amex said no declined charges that they can see..

        went smoothly with 2FA for me. Try turning off your VPN(if using), clearing cache, Turning off all extensions and then give it a go.

      There’s a payment verification step so adblocker and vpns and things aren’t gonna work with that in most cases
      I had same issues across two pcs and was able to get it working on my phone only via safari

    Weird. Commbank Mastercard and Visa. Worked fine for 1 transaction, and failed for all subsequent. Incognito, different browsers. I would get the "netcode" verification, but then it would fail with the "unable to verify your chosen payment method" message.
    Would be interested if anyone else manages to get one through. Maybe I was just lucky the first time.

      Just got a call from ANZ saying they've blocked the transaction so they will unblock it now so probably it's to do with the banks blocking transactions to do with gift card purchases!!!

      Called the bank, and spoke with their fraud department, and yes, they had blocked it from their end as suspicious. They have unblocked it for me now and all good. I suspect most people having problems buying these need to speak to their financial institution.

    For those with payment check the month and year in the card expiry date is correct.

        Got 5 x $100 and had to stop myself from buying more. I mostly only use ubereats when there are promo.

        At the moment there's spend $30 and get $15 off on Thai restaurants. This makes it very cheap.

    FYI to others - The Uber app will only let you add a gift card if your balance is under $1,000.

        I didn't know it either until I went over the limit.

        Yes, the app allowed me to push my balance over $1,000 but as soon as I was over that amount it stopped me from adding more gift cards.

        Once the balance goes under $1,000 it'll allow more gift cards to be added.

          My Uber cash balance is $1300+ though and can only add these in $100 increments (for this deal). My exisiting balance was $600+ from shopback swaps or credit card point redemptions, so maybe it is a limit of what you can add in a short period of time?

        I've added up to $952 and it stopped letting me to add another $100, quoting 'There was a problem saving this gift code. Try again in a few minutes.'

        Pretty dumb as it does not tell you why you couldn't add more value to your account, but now we all know why.

    Worked with Visa Debit Card (And Ublock active). Did require bank sms auth for purchase. Card works on both Uber & Uber Eats (Shared Wallet). Card has 3y expiry but looks like Uber Credits dont. bought 10 x $100. (Tip from maverick1, If you have had uber in last 30 days you can click on receipt and choose change payment type to GC)

      When I bought it, it had a 20% off logo in the corner and uber did not when they restocked them. I purchased uber eats and it was rejected by bank and uber was not there. When they were back, 20% off was missing. It should have taken it off at checkout before purchase.

      Me too. I called my bank and they haven't been blocking the transaction. 2FA code gets sent out -> entered -> payment doesn't get charged/transaction doesn't go through.
