Not if ypu have bought bitcoin 10 years ago
Don't think any RTX models existed 10 years ago buddy…
Just for gaming and not magic coins
Unfortunately most bot bitcoins 1 year ago.
I made a pretty table to show how dumb and overpriced top-tier GPUs (especially green team) currently are: linky
Using data from TechSpot a.k.a. Hardware Unboxed
Must admit I love the “cost per frame” metric :)
My favourite is the "Target", which is the price each GPU would be if price scaled linearly with performance. Imagine a $700 3090 Ti!
I am holding for rtx 30 too..
But I heared 40 use TSMC 4n
Maybe just get 40?
Is TSMC has better reputation than Samsung?
Its a lot more efficient than old 8nm Samsung. The power consumption will still remain high because the card is decently powerful. Expect 60% more 3080 performance.
HODL
Nice price, but the 4xxx is just around the corner and I would recommend waiting if you're not in a hurry.
How far away is this corner?
Further than people portray
October for 4090 and Nov for 4080
Thought they were saying 4090 December, all others 2023
@original15: New leaks suggest 4080 and 70 this year end due to competition from AMD, hence massive price drops from nvidia on the higher end models.
@original15: It should be September/October as EVGA has canceled their EVGA bucks program by early September. So less then 2 months till the new 4090 hits shelves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0l6Mg4gk50
@zCrimson: Thanks both. Great. Now I have to think about that and if I wait or just scoop a sweet deal in the next few months haha
I am holing on 4xxx …… (2 years later) I am holding on 5xxx …. (2 years later) I am holding on 6xxx and so on
$899 by the end of the year.
I have a simpit to build before Ill be in a hurry, 4xxx might be here… or we might still be hodling
If everyone is hodling, price will be further down, eventually we may get a real bargain
These cards will tumble in price as soon as the specs for the new cards are released. Whoooooosh. New & second-hand.
If this doesn't bother you, please adopt me.
4070 = less than $1000 USD and has same spec with 3090
plus less power compared to 3090
Where are you getting these stats and costings from?

Has anyone actually ordered from PCCaseGear lately? I ordered a 3080ti one week ago exactly, and it's still in the 'processing' stage even though it was labelled as 'In Stock' ready to ship. Communication is pretty poor too as I emailed asking for a status update on it on Thursday and still have nothing.
I ordered some components on the 2nd, they shipped today (8th), so it's probably a 3-5 business days to process, assuming they have them in stock
I'm holding
10 years ago, when FTTP was being rolled out, I was sure GPUs would be a thing of the past. I liked the idea that gaming would stream, and only serious pros would render locally. Then we had an election :(
New 4090 should be out by late September, early October as EVGA has canceled their EVGA bucks program by early September. So less then 2 months till the new 4090 hits shelves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0l6Mg4gk50
Cough, cough, expensive!, cough, cough.
