Samsung Galaxy S III - Virgin Mobile 5 Months at Half Price

15

Virgin Mobile have just added the new Samsung Galaxy S3 to their 5 Months at Half Price promotion for the $49 Fair Go Plan and above (at launch last week, this special offer was not available on the GS3 or iPhone 4S).

The 5 Months at Half Price access fees means that you only pay half price on the access fees - you still need to pay the monthly phone price repayments.

Valid Plans are:

  • $49 Fair Go Plan - pay $10 per month for Galaxy S3 and for 5 months you only need to pay $23 for the plan (and $10 per month for the handset).
  • $59 Fair Go Plan - pay $5 per month for Galaxy S3 and for 5 months you only need to pay $29.5 for the plan (and $5 per month for the handset).
  • $89 Topless Plan - pay $0 per month for Galaxy S3 and for 5 months you only need to pay $44.50 for the unlimited plan and free GS3.

Change title. "5 months free at half price" makes no sense

    • Also, half price of $49 is $24.5.

  • Free at half price….?

    Updated. Apologies on the typo.

  • the 50% is valid for the $59 plan.. tried on the $49 plan..its not valid..

    • the $59 listed on the web is the $49 plan mention here.
The $49 plan on the website is actually a $29/month + $20 for the phone per month
Yes, i know it is very confusing

not really a deal, Virgin always have 50% off for 5 months. Smells more like advertising to me.

  • Definitely valid on the $49 Plan (had word from Virgin Mobile that it was). On the GS3 Landing page at Virgin, look for the plan that says $59 in the list as that is the $49 plan with $10 / month added on top for the phone repayment.

  • Is it possible to get 2nd handset when I am still under contract for the 1st one?
Hows does that work out with Virgin Mobile?

  • How about a link directly to the virgin mobile website?

    http://www.virginmobile.com.au/samsung-galaxy-s3/

    • No sales commission tracked that way :p

I hate signing up for 24 months!!!!

Virgin used to do the first 3 months free.

How can lopping half a month off the discount expect to receive anything other than a negative vote?

You need to tell Virgin that the customers are like elephants and haven't forgotten. And they don't like it.

i wouldn't completely trust whistle out website, i noticed there was an error on there the other day advertising promotion for vodafone 12 month galaxy s3 plan that didn't exist (was only for 24 months plan).

also don't trust that i would get my 'buckscoop' cashback if using a referral link if clicking through from whistleout

  • Promo code: fusion

    • Yeah you can do it directly with Virgin web site.

  • Link changed to VirginMobile.

@WhistleOut rep — when you tried to post there should be some notes about posting deals from WhistleOut.com.au.

    1. Only deals that are exclusive to WhistleOut.com.au are allowed to be posted. This means that any deals that are available directly from the mobile carrier without going through WhistleOut.com.au should not be posted under this domain, but should use the URL for the carrier'e website.
    2. Any affiliate links for WhistleOut.com.au within the body of the deal must be declared as per our deal posting guidelines. This includes all links to analysis/comparison pages which potentially contain affiliate links.

In this case it's not really a WhistleOut exclusive. Thus link has been changed to VirginMobile, and added affiliation link declaration next to your own link.

  • What special do you get from WhistleOut? The deal is already publicly available from official Virgin website?

    • Yes, don't know why have to go through them.

      • He wants to net affiliate points duh.

  • So min spend for this $1293.5 over 24 month? not really a deal.

  • If this is available directly through Virgin, this is simply advertising/commission.
