Cashrewards, Will It Be Tracked if I Pay The Online Retailer with an AmEx Card?

Hi, I know I can't link my Amex card to my cashrewards account.
What happens if I purchase online using my Amex, will the reward still be tracked and go back into my account?

    Yes - as long as you follow the cashrewards online purchase procedure correctly.

      Thanks, what is the linked card used for on my account?
      Is that for in store purchases? I have linked a Mastercard.
