So booked a QF Flight with my Qantas AMEX Card Benefit
I have all my points in Qantas FF however I am a Qatar Plat (Used the Status Match with VA) at the moment, so would like best of both worlds :) get the Plat Benefits and then use my points to upgrade to Business if possible…..
My only other option is Link Qantas now, upgrade with Points, once upgraded change my FF to Qatar before the flight, but by then the only perk I would really get is additional baggage. - Not sure if this would work either as I never fly with QF I am a VA Flyer normally. All the points I have in QF
Any other ideas I am open…. sorry for the confusing post XD
I'm in a similar conundrum. Booked QR flights with AMEX credit.
I am QFF Gold.
As soon as I linked my QFF number to the flight, they enabled additional luggage and free extra legroom seat selection. Furthermore, I believe they would let me access the Oneworld lounges in Sydney, Doha and in Europe. Also Priority Checkin+Boarding. Wouldn't you get these with QR platinum?
My problem is, that only like 10% of the QR fair categories are eligible for point-earn with Qantas. So I will not earn points or status credits. But if link QR membership, I will get a lot of Avios. But unsure if I can access the lounge.
