Well I noticed snap chat offers new maps I can see my new solar panels, but quality isnt great.
Maps on my android is 2 years old at least. I just want a decent pic to see if I can fit another 6.6kw on

Apple Maps shows my red garbage bin out on the street, so their images are at least three days old.

Not everyone has an 'Apple' device to get access to 'Apple Maps', the OP even states they don't have an Apple device. This website has later satellite photos than google maps which is what the OP wanted.

I'm going to assume based on your statement that you are unaware Apple Maps is exclusive to Apple devices, so unless you use some DuckDuckGo hacks that the average person isn't aware about. Apple maps won't 'load' on a Windows/Android device.

Go to duckduckgo and search for a location. They use Apple maps.
@notfrodo: Yes I said this above…. But the average person isn't aware about this 'hack' for non apple devices. So way easier to go to the site I linked above.
Ooh this is pretty cool. Thanks for the link. There's a dropdown on the top left hand corner of the page letting you change the map provider and compare the same location from different providers.
Satellites.pro and apple maps is old days prolly 2-3 years old my old shed is still on it.
I could get a drone but that's more effort then its worth
try your council intramap. Some have yearly some have 6mthly snaps.
Nearmaps is good but is expensive unless you have free access through something like work or university.
How much does it cost?
Work pays you to be there, but university can cost tens of thousands of dollars.

I was like - holy cow Meta have taken stalking to a new level if they give you aerial pics of users…

Not sure if there is good coverage in your area though.
- Metromap's 7 day trial is probably your best bet. They have reasonably up to date imagery (usually no more than a few months old).
- NearMap doesn't care about the average consumer and only cater to businesses so don't bother with them.
- Check your local council and see if they have a mapping portal or section of their website. Usually the aerials are more up to date than the main websites like Google, Apple and Bing
- You can also download Google Earth Pro to your computer and use the historical imagery feature to access newer imagery than what is shown by default, although the imagery is not super sharp.
