    This is an excellent breath freshener. Also really keeps the plaque and tartar at bay. But I actually prefer the original flavour. Also wish it didn’t come in such a giant can — not so convenient for the handbag

      Sure: forget breath mints or sugar free chews.
      Ethanol is good for the skin in your mouth.

  This is just 60% ethanol in an aerosol can.
  If you use this much, invest in a bottle of methylated spirits and a spray bottle. Can even add some eucalyptus, tea tree or lavender oil for fragrance.

    But do any of those alternatives, kill 99.9%of germs? Genuine question since I use Glen 20 weekly and it doesn't go on sale that often (also not pleasant when i accidentally breathe it in)

      You can make something much better than Glen 20.
      It's the same ingredient- Ethanol. In fact you can make it more effective by using 70% instead of 60% like in Glen 20.

      Eucalyptus and Tea Tree are also very good at killing mould, but might damage plastics in high concentrations. You could use 5% safely.

    I believe you can get a 20-pack of Glen 9 from your local dollar store. I wouldn’t recommend it, though
