Welcome Astral, in this maze/adventure/shooter you are a robot that has been created within a dome that covers a futuristic city. For anyone planning on purchasing a Quest 2 in the near future do note that the price is expected to increase by around $120-$150 tomorrow. Last few days both Amazon US and UK have temporarily stopped selling them, most likely due to the expected price hike, but it's still available on Amazon Aus.
Also those new to all this and trying to decide between the 128GB model and the 256GB, the 128GB is more than sufficient. However you definitely should consider purchasing a new head strap (the stock strap is trash). I would highly recommend either the Kiwi one (around $50 via AliExpress with vouchers and cashback) or if you want more juice, the BOBOVR M2 Pro with battery pack (around $80 via AliExpress with vouchers and cashback) - also you can strap a powerbank to the Kiwi one with zip ties or something as a workaround. Don't waste your time and money on any other head strap.
If you do decide to purchase one don't forget the $47 referral credit as well which should be enough to buy one or two top games/apps. There are also some solid non-game freebies like BigScreen, Prime VR (if you're an Amazon Prime subscriber), Oculus browser (.)(.) etc. That's about it you should be good to go.
I got a BOBOVR M2 (non pro) for about $25 delivered from AE, and also a GOMRVR one for similar price although that was a little while back, not sure if same price now. Both are good.
The stock one isn't actually that bad but you need to adjust the top strap properly to take the weight. The aftermarket ones are quicker to put on and adjust though.
Another solid non-battery head strap I forgot to mention is the BOBOVR M2 Plus (their latest one) which is also available for around $50 via AliExpress with vouchers and cashback. I think it's best to spend $20 or so extra for either Kiwi or BOBOVR over cheapos out there.
On the Meta store and Amazon AU the price of the 128GB model has now been increased to AU $630 and the 256GB to AU $790. So a full $150 increase for both!
$574 and $729 currently on Amazon, must've gone down a bit again.
