Does anyone know if Bunnings can transfer stock internally between stores or can a customer pay for postage?
I saw an item but it is located 300 kms away. I wouldn't mind picking up from my local store because driving there is too much.

They can, but it perhaps depends on the person you speak to in-store. I live in southern Tassie but the only stores that had the item I wanted (a particular type/brand of worm farm) in stock were up north. No delivery available to our rural area, can only place C & C order, so I emailed our nearest store (about 30km away) to ask whether there was any way they could order it in. I didn't hold out much hope but was quite surprised when the gardening/outdoor manager replied to say she could have it transferred from one of the northern stores, but it might take some time, which I was fine with. Ended up taking about 6-7 weeks, but they finally emailed to advise it had arrived, so I went in to collect and pay for it.
So it appears they can do it, but whether they will might be another thing. They couldn't order the item in as it wasn't a stock line they normally carry in that store, and wasn't a "Special Order" item either.
Ok cheers.
Ill email my local store. The worse they can say is no!
Exactly! It won’t hurt to ask, and you never know, you might be in luck :)
I had a similar story, but I am in northern Tassie & the item was in southern Tassie.
Probably just air task it to someone to buy the item for me in a small fee and ship it to you. You can generate postage lable on my post business.
No, they won't. Depending on the object's size, you can pay for a courier for $40. But, call them and speak to special orders.
No. They do not transfer stock between stores.
