Same the 10% off didnt run a bit longer https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/715078
The sapphire is worth the extra and still 50% off. My Fenix 5 is going on 6 years and there is not a scratch on the face and I use it all the time with power tools, swimming etc.

I can't find the info I need. How usable are these if say you're overseas and walking around for mapping? Assume you rather not use Google map on the phone
not sure if this is of use to you, but you can still use google maps on a phone offline. Not sure if it's tracking movements etc if privacy is the concern, and if it did it would be caching it somewhere for upload later, but you basically download a map and use the GPS on the phone.

Worked well for me when travelling without a mobile connection. Just downloaded a map via wifi and GPS tracked where I was.
This is a sports watch. Any navigation will be functional but perhaps not would you'd expect if you compared it to Google Maps.
You won't be using Google Maps on this watch, for that you need a Wear OS or Apple watch.
I load up GPX files for the routes and find that pretty good at keeping me on track, but I always like to have my mapping app - in my case Outdoor Active - on my phone, as the watch just isn't great for detail or making unscheduled changes to the plan.
Why is it that no smart watch works with youtube music. Or even to be able to store MP3s on it anymore :(
Don't own this model, but can drag and drop MP3s onto my vivoactive3 and Venu2. I assume all their models work very similar.
Any 10% off gift card deals to make this a little
More enticing ?Great find.
The Garmin website currently only advertises the Fenix 7. Does that mean the Fenix 6 is disappearing?
I didn't say that the 6 couldn't be found, but that it wasn't 'advertised' or listed.
My question was regarding how Garmin market their watches, do they typically keep 2 generations for sale, and discount the older generation?
What do you mean by not listed as I can view the fenix 6 models?
Garmin are always going to promote the latest version of products.
Most superseded products do not receive firmware updates for new features other than bug fixes.
