    this is best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Competition for Dominoes super Tuesday deal.

DO you need a coupon or its available for everyone?

  • OP, if you got that in the mail surely its got terms and conditions on it.

    Can you please look.

    • updated with t&c's. Have to LOL at the 'only while stock lasts' bit. Doesn't say anything about needing a coupon

  • +5

This will not work in QLD because we have different owners who are stingier.

    • +5

The KFC at Morningside in Brisbane has a big banner out the front with this offer, so it's available in at least one QLD store.

      • +4

Really??? That's great for QLD! Sucks that the Morningside kfc is really bad…

        • I'd agree, why KFC there is so bad I am not sure… so where is the best KFC near there… I need to know :D

      • Oh? I have to check out my local KFC then.

p.s. the replies in this bargain are quite hilarious!

    • We received two copies of this flyer in the letterbox yesterday, here in Brisbane.

  • +1

The dirty chook with potato gravy and thick KFC fries…..YUMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

  • +13

If you want to REALLY be cheap then you should save the leftover chicken bones and use them to make stock, it's quite good.

    • +6

      or rice congee ^_______^

    • +1

      Yep really cheap.

      Stock from deep-fried chicken. ughh

Actually why not make some jelly babies? Boil in water and that will net you gelatine.

      • Stock from deep fried chicken is put into gravy, i thought everyone knows that….

  • +4

Got the same coupon in the mail today also - so yes, it's in NSW as well.

  • Valid at participating stores? Sounds pretty vague and random?

  • +2

Obesity, blood and heart problems here I come!

  • +3

Probably overpopulated with chickens running around…somehow they needed to rid of 20% of the population lol

  • +10

Quite cheap for the dirty chook

If I called my wife that I'd be in massive trouble.

  • +3

    IT'S "DIRTY BIRD" PEOPLE!

  • nice find!

  • +2

oh lawdy am i in heaven? time to break out the 40s and purple drank

  • Anyone idea if WA is included in the promo as well?

    • Bought it in Perth last Tuesday. It was yum.

    • I read that as "Anyone idea if WA is included in the porno as well?"

I think I need some chicken for some energy

  • +1

original recipe thigh oh so juicy

and a handful of chips scooped into potato and gravy

original recipe chicken skin eaten by itself

sucking and nibbling on the bones

yeah yeah! can't wait til tuesday!!

  • +7

You can also get two sides for $5 with this promotion. (I work there)

    • +2

you should find out the secret recipe and share it with me.

I will gladly eat fried original recipe coating by itself lol

      • +3

I learned the secret recipe for KFC from Futurama: chicken, grease and salt! ;)

[edit] BTW, you can get 'KFC style' chicken coating powders from bigger Asian grocery stores! :)

      • There was a leaked ebook a few years ago.

Since then I presume it would have changed.

Just mix every spice that tastes good to you ahahhaa.

        • +1

I used to work there, they mix 1 bag of flour with the secret mix of white powder (MSG! Jokes, it doesn't say whats in it)
There's also a different bag for spicy wings .

        • Yep. Every fast food place has all these stuff premixed. Nandos has the chickens pre marinated.

      • +1

        you mean… like this?

        http://pastebin.com/8BRaWJAd

        • Yes. There are many 'secrect' recipes floating around. I havent tried it as it requires nearly half the spice rack of the store.

Too much hassle. I like the kind I make.

    • Actually it looks like the $5 sides deal is only with a "family meal", whatever that means.

  • +3

don't eat at kfc Gladesville, there food hygiene there is bordering on 3RD world standards.

    • +3

Yeah, a lot of KFC's I go to around my area also have problems.

No wonder they had the villawood lawsuit.

    • +14

at my local I saw a guy cleaning up the bin then going straight to the counter to serve without washing his hands

      • +27

That guy is called 'the manager'! :p

        • LMFAO!

          You guys r so funny!

    • never had a good feed from Gladesville, I dont think they heat the oil high enough or it is old, it just never taste the best from my local. they also regularly give you stingy half or 3/4 serves of fries when you go drive thru.

Thanks for the Oporto next door :P

  • i prefer redlea pterodactyl size thighs. 2 for $4.50 but heaps bigger than kfc and heaps better. this is a great deal

    • Redlea FTW!

  • +2

    Great pound for pound deal!

The only KFC that I like though, is either the defunct Xtra Tasty Crispy or journeyman Hot'n'Spicy, I can't get into the 'original' at all…too greasy tasting for me.

  • +7

Excellent deal, but KFC is bad for you. (negative vote me I don't care).

    • so is everything if you have too much of it.

      • It's all about perspective mate. A little bit of KFC isn't good for you anyways.

        • +8

It's more about value for money; here, $9.95 buys you a shitload of kilojoules! :p

    • Isn't the Canola oil healthier?

      http://www.kfc.com.au/nutrition/canola-oil.asp

      They just switched last month.

      • +3

Who cares? I don't eat fast food often but when I do I want it to taste good, I would like nothing more than for McDonalds should go back to cooking their chips in beef tallow.

      • It may be better in some respects, but Canola Oil is a carcinogenic and causes cancer if its heated improperly

        • oh.. i thought it was olive oil that was carcinogenic if you heated it too high, such as deep frying chicken =p

      • There was a scare some years ago regarding the benefence of switching to canola oil. In essence, there is no such thing as a 'canola' plant. It comes from rapeseed which was used in canada hence CANola.

It has a lower eruric acid compared to competing oil blends. So it is healthier. The downside is that it is considered a GM food. Which I aint to fancy about.

But having a piece (or 9) here and there wouldn't hurt right?

(Everytime there is a deal regarding fast food, why must there be a discussion about the merits of health? We all know that it is crap. But it is a deal. Last time I checked, this wasnt weight watchers. Maybe Ozbargain should have a little nutrition info to the right of the deals.)

      • Coconut oil is the healthiest oil to cook with

  • I received this deal in the junkmail today, metro SA.

  • +3

Hard to give this deal the Bird :)

  • Oh yeah!

  • got the it in mail box too in brisbane..

  • +2

I know what I'm having the day after my exam.

  • Does anyone knows when the hot and spicy will come out?
    They usually comes every winter.

    • +1

I know Hot n Spicy used to be available all year round in the Artarmon, NSW store along Pacific Highway.

    • When was 'hot and spicy' ever a seasonal thing? We're talking about just the chicken right? 'Orginal' and 'Hot and spicy'?

      • +1

It depends on where you live. In Qld it's available year round. When we lived in central NSW, it was only available for one month a year.

        • Woh that's crazy, In Perth it's all the time as well, I would have never thought that it was different elsewhere.

  • +1

Wow, awesome deal and price! Maybe when it stops raining here in Brissy we will actually get some junk mail this week with this deal…?!

  • only if i had extra notches on belt buckle ….kinda miss how qld had the roast peices of chicken and it had all of the kfc taste.. thighs and drumsticks mmmmm

    • +1

only if i had extra notches on belt buckle…

      One word…suspenders! :)

  • I just got the flyer in the mail, so should be available throughout QLD.

  • Too bad this doesnt count as a family deal or you could have ordered the 2 lrge side for $5

    • Why not just get the cheap as chips meal instead? Pretty sure you can swap the sides for other sides.

    • +1

      GUYS I WAS WRONG

I asked the attendent if this counted as a family meal and I was assured it was.

So I got two large sides and the chicken for $15 dollars.

  • +3

Just saw an ad on tele for it (Brisbane)

  • Wow tuesday = Kfc night out

  • Yep, confirming that I just saw an ad for this deal on tv in Brisbane, QLD !

  • hey

do you guys over east get hot n' spicy or just original recipe, I remember going to a KFC in sydeny and they were like hot and what ?

    • +1

They didn't understand your accent Apu

    • It would've been the same crust for wicked wings except with normal pieces.

    • I thought everywhere had hot n spicy?? Here in QLD we have it. Man that would suck not to, just having the 1 flavour…! I use to love the skinless one that they brought out quite a number of years ago, had a really nice flavour to it.

      • No hot and spicy in NSW :(

        • Ohhh, thats gotta suck!

    • +1

They used to have Hot 'n' Spicy here in NSW, but it was a "limited time" thing.

  • +1

Are these free range or caged?

    • +2

Take a stab in the dark :)

  • hmmm what brand of chicken salt do they use…..

    • kfc brand XD

      • no. KFC would only buy from supplier. less problems when somthing go wrong :)

  • 18 Pieces for $20?

    On my way now!!

Sometimes it pays to mention that you don't want wings as well.

    • Usually they will honour the 'no wings' request. But they have mentioned in the conditions that you get don't get a say in what chicken parts are given in this deal.

According to this store at least, the 2 sides for $5 can be used with the deal….unless its a mistake…

    • not a mistake. bought my 9 pieces today and 2 large sides for $14.95

  • +1

Definitely Aus wide, they have it on Facebook (give or take maybe a couple of the stingy places)
    https://www.facebook.com/#!/KFCAustralia

  • Great bargain! I wonder if it is available in Woden,ACT? Have not received any flyer, but saw it at the tele last night.

  • I want to be fat just like the Colonel.
    Heading off now…

  • extra points if you can get all 9 as centre pieces
