Normally these are about $30 each so 2 for $39 delivered is decent. Make for nice gifts. Apparently reduces hair tangles. Also nice in summer.

So definitely not a nice gift for a vegan.
I would expect thousands if not millions of insects would die suffering from pesticides used in cotton production. Personally I’m not a fan of synthetic linen.
Synthetics are crap I agree but I'd rather insects killed as a side effect of my product than a deliberate manufacturing process. Shades of grey and all that.
I wonder why they do not list the momme rating for the silk. Also having a polyester inner lining doesn't sound like high quality. I am not a silk expert though so someone who knows this stuff please chime in.
Kogan has a few options with mulberry silk like this one that claims 100% silk:

Or this cheaper $14.99 for 2 pack which is cotton inner silk outer (lower momme silk to $19.99 set above)

That does look like a better deal
$24.99 on amazon - https://www.amazon.com.au/Luxor-Crown-Mulberry-Standard-Pill…
button says "unaavlaible" for me
Just a heads up because I learnt this recently, you need to kill thousands of silk worms to make a pillow case. They boil them so they don’t make holes in the silk. I’m no activist but I find it super unsettling to sleep on that at night!
