  • Part of my order shows shipped but I didn't get any tracking details (provided email/phone number during the order). Other item is still waiting to be shipped. Not sure whether they shipped or not since no tracking details.

    How did others get the shipping notification? Over email or SMS?

        • So for the whole day the tablet shipping status didn't update.

          Once it was finally delivered, they updated the status in the order history of the website with the tracking number. Odd.

      No in the chat the person offered me $200 off a laptop. That went down well…

      They offered the promotion. It wasn't a error. The error I made was to wait until I needed something to use the points.

      • The $200 off a laptop is different to the initial offer though, so how can you say they did offered you the promo?

        • They did offer me the promo when I signed up. But I stupidly “banked” the points rather than using them immediately.

          Their email contact form is brokeb too otherwise I would contact them again.

    I didn't really care about them spreading my email address to 500 different people, but they sent out an email with the subject "Oops, we made a mistake!" talking about how much they care about privacy, and honestly it's so infantile ("oopsie daisies!!") that it's just kinda pissed me off

    On 1st August 2022, you received an email from [email protected] where your email address was included as part of the cc email distribution list. Lenovo unreservedly apologises for this mistake.

    Lenovo experienced a technical glitch with the email campaign and withdrew the availability of the offer. As you had yet to exercise the offer, we wished to notify you of the withdrawal and reversal of the associated Lenovo Loyalty points.

    Lenovo confirms the only data involved was your electronic email address. Internally, we have reviewed our process and made necessary changes to ensure this type of mistake cannot take place again. Lenovo has also already been in contact with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and will be self-reporting this instance to both OAIC and the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner this week.

      • I only used around $70 dollars worth of points before all my points were gone. Not too mad about the remaining points, but the fact that they had failed to respect our privacy and disclosing our emails makes me annoyed.

    For anyone who ordered the gaming headset:

    I called Lenovo and they confirmed my order has been shipped from the warehouse, which is why it's showing as shipped status in the portal.

    However a tracking number hasn't been generated yet as it hasn't arrived in the country yet. Once it arrives they'll generate a tracking number and dispatch it.

    It was shipped on 31 July same ETA for delivery by 16 August.

    Their contact centre is pretty good. Zero wait time and they understood the ask and were quick with a non robotic response.

    Kudos to Lenovo for an excellent deal and support!

    Lenovo just sent me an invoice confirming my order with $100 loyalty has been shipped ($19 total paid)

  • M10 Tablet on board for delivery with DHL today in Perth. Ordered 4:55pm AWST on the 28th, shipped on the 1st.

      Don't want to shatter your illusions, but when I bought a laptop from Lenovo last year the charge dropped off completely at least once if not twice, but always re-appeared shortly after.

      • All good, I guess they'll eventually charge my CC, just wanted to see if others had the same experience…
        Can't complain, I got a $400 tablet for $100.

      • Is that how Lenovo usually bill customers? Once they drop the preauth, there is no guarantee that the card is still valid and able to be charged again. If you cancel the card they won't be able to process the charge again.

        • In my case they re-auth after 1 month, by that time I think the previous preauth would have expired and they also make sure that the card is still valid. I think they do this once per month. This was from past experience (my laptop was delivered after almost 2 months).

        TBH this is a significantly more reasonable deal from Lenovo. Giving away free things is not sustainable, no matter how good that may be for the thrifty user.

      Turns out it is just a discount code for a laptop/desktop, would have been better not sending that email. This isn't an apology compensation, it's a sale offer.

    anyone else have the transaction reversed ? the extra money I paid on top of the points is available in my bank account again now. order status still says waiting to be shipped though.

      I don't understand why it's so hard for Lenovo to admit they made a mistake. They are acting like this whole situation was our fault or a "technical issue" whereas the truth is just that they have been careless and they are not willing to admit it! The tone of their emails and support really pisses me off.

        It's actually really baffling.

        My initial complaint was about why they took points away without any communication, and they should reinstate them (about $136 worth of points in my case). Their response was that I would pay $64 for them to return the points for future use. Isn't the whole purpose of points to use them to pay for things? I'm so confused.
