Made link to Bing Lee Garmin page as direct link not working - some issue with copying and pasting their links.
Came across this whilst looking for the fenix 6X, seems a pretty good deal for the base model 6.

Something weird going on.
If I google it it appears, but the link goes nowhere. Must be a bug.
Or its sold out already?
hmmm yeh i had a few issues with links on their site before. ill try see
(If link doesnt work search garmin in bar and go through from there) some issue with copying and pasting their links.
OOS already. Thanks for the link though
Could use $20 student discount - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/714828# and cashrewards cashback for another $28 off..
Thanks, got one :)
Anyone know how this stacks up against Forerunner 245? Is it just contactless payments and maps?
would like to know this too, have 245 music but dead pixels so looking to upgrade
Contact Garmin to replace the 245
There are a few extra metrics with the Fenix 6 range as well as a heap more activity options.
This isn't the pro so I don't think it has maps or music, so might be a downgrade from 245m in that respect
Thanks, yes agreed, would like music/podcast/audio book etc options so might leave this one and wait
Just FYI:
Ebay linnk for the 6 Silver - I have a random voucher I can apply that brings it to $490 Delivered
What’s the difference between the 2; 42mm vs.47 mm ?
Pro's for Fenix 6 over 6S: Bigger case = Bigger battery, so you get a few extra days.
Pro's for Fenix 6S over 6: Smaller case = Less weight (58 g vs 80 g)
If you run a lot, you may like the lower weight. It's part of the reason I grabbed a FR935 over a Fenix 5 back in the day.
Any regrets with the FR935? I'm thinking of getting one cheap secondhand
Zero regrets. Ok, maybe 0.5 regrets.
That era of wrist based HRM from Garmin had a tendency to crack and craze. Mine is extremely cracked. Still functional, but not ideal and it has started to irritate my wrist so I need to rotate wrists to keep it in check on a monthly sort of rotation.
That said, it's been a reliable training partner for four years. Hasn't missed a beat.
My brother has a Fenix 6 which seems to not have this issue (at least, not yet).
If you're buying a FR935 now, it should be dirt cheap. Anything more than $100 is probably too much (imo)
Thanks OP! Tossing up between this, or the forerunner 745 that's now $424 at Rebel and a few other online retailers. Decision, decision..
Go for fenix, more features and still having features added via updates.
I'm having a similar dilemma. You can refer here for the differences - https://buy.garmin.com/en-AU/AU/catalog/product/compareResul…
Yeah seems the 745 has been forgotten about by Garmin
Not as much as the 645 was (says owner of 645).
Females and thin wrist males need only apply
or get an aftermarket band?
The 6 and 6S has a smaller display/physical size compared to 6X. I assume he/she wasn't talking about the band.
Garmin fenix 6S is the smallest and is 42 mm in its diameter.
Garmin fenix 6 is of a medium size and is 47 mm in its diameter.
Garmin fenix 6X is the largest and is 51 mm in its diameter.
It's a great watch but do note that this does not have the Maps, Music or Wifi on it. Only the Pro and Sapphire versions have it.
It might be better to look at Venu 2 or Venu SQ/Vivoactive 4 unless you really want the rugged watch looks/features.
I have a Fenix 6 pro and the GPS is quite bad but all other features are great.

Link doesn't go to that product, and I can't see that price anywhere on their site. More info on how to obtain please?
