I am getting good discount on Etihad airline if I pay through AMEX card…but I dont have one. Is there an alterntive option to pay online through AMEX using somenthign like a AMEX prepay or gift card?

Can you ask someone who has an Amex to pay for your flights on your behalf?
OP, you can actually be set up as a supplementary card holder through a friend or family member with an Amex. I'm one myself.
However, I still wouldn't go that far though. You'd be better off doing a bit more research on their credit card range and just applying for a card yourself with a considerable bonus points offer.

No - not in Australia at least. You'll need to establish an AMEX credit card if you'd like to take advantage of the Etihad offer.
