I've got Z5500 - do your ears a favour. If you've got a gaming computer or HTPC , get these.
Hopefully some time in the future there will be a bargain on a decent, non Realtek soundcard :)Ditto, and agreed, but unfortunately the Z-5500s are no longer in production and apparently even 2nd hand sets are fetching big $$$ on fleabay.
These are the replacements for them and also what you'll be offered if you have any warranty issues with your Z-5500s.
Are these comparable with the 5500's? Best thing I've ever bought, even thought I paid $450 back in '06. PRAYING they don't die on me.
Also wondering how these compare. I love my 5500s too! I paid ~$400 a couple of years back and they have been worth every cent.

The 906's aren't as 'bassy' as the 5500's and have a better all round sound reproduction. So some people prefer the stronger bass while others are liking the better quality.
Not bad, they've been $300ish at LGS a few times haven't they? (Not that they're in stock now though, so this does seem like a good price)
