Is below laptop a good buy?
Acer Nitro 5 15.6-Inch i5-11300H/16GB/512GB SSD/ GTX1650 $898
Note: I don't do gaming, but can't find any cheaper laptop that can beat the above specs.
Mainly I want 16GB ram with IPS display.

Stack the $999 Lenovo Thinkpad deal with 14 percent cashback. That will get you under 900.
1650 tbh is not for playing games in 2022
If you don't play games then all the GTX 1650 will do is weigh you down and decrease the laptop's battery life / portability.
A laptop without a discrete GPU will certainly be thinner, more lightweight & might have a better build quality. Intel NUC M15, Lenovo Thinkpad e15, Lenovo Ideapad Flex, ASUS Zenbook et cetera might be better options for non-gaming users.
