After long research, ran into this Pull down Sink Mixer - https://www.reece.com.au/product/tapware-accessories-c2518/n…, which has 6 star rating too. pretty rare to find.
Just wondering if anyone has any experience using this and any review you can share ?

  • $600+ when you enter in my working class post code.

Doesn't look much different than the Aldi one for $59 a few weeks ago.

Didn't aldi taps have to be recalled a couple of years ago because of led in the water… There is a reason it costs $600 and generally taps made in Italy cost quite a bit more than that. So yes it is expensive but you get what you pay for when it comes to tapware.

      • Okay. You going to tell me Hyundais and Kias are tin can on wheels from their reputation in the 90s too?

Taps made in Italy costs a lot because the stuff needs to be reworked 10 times. Basically every car out of Italy has a bad reputation.

Good luck paying $600 for a tap. Must keep you warm and fuzzy at nights.

It was only a couple of years ago that aldi had the issue not 30 years ago.
Plumbers are expensive so if you buy a cheap tap you might have to replace it every 2 years and each time you will need to pay a plumber to come and fit it so $600 for a good quality tap isn't really all that expensive in the long term.
I think you need to do a little more research about the company Nobili before comparing them to other brands and products. I work in the industry and I know what I am talking about.
I have the nobili flag pull out sink mixer and absolutely love it. Well worth paying a bit extra especially for the most used tap in the house.

Do a bit of research and change it yourself

Obviously you know what benefits you. No thanks.

          • @Rubyroo3: @Rubyroo3: Is yours the same as I have linked in the post?

Same brand but not the same tap. I have seen this on display and it is different to a normal tap so if you haven't seen it on display then I would check it out before buying. If you search on you tube tho I am pretty sure there is a video showing how it works.

              • @Rubyroo3: What tap did you go with ? Mind sharing link?

                • @[Deactivated]: Link is in the above post 🙂

                  • @Rubyroo3: Oh sorry, I didn't notice that. Thanks for sharing
Re. seeing the tap physically, I did visit Reece to check it out found it actually to be quite smaller than regular pull out taps.

  • Spec sheet says 5 star …

    • thanks for pointing out. Weird why it says 6 star

Water rating doesn't mean much when it comes to certain tapware. You can add or remove flow restrictors but if you require a certain amount of water to come out then it's coming out either quickly or slowly. Think about filling up a bath using high-star tapware, you want that bath full and a high-star rating won't save you any money.

    • You will find that bath outlets actually don't have a star rating as they should never be restricted with water. If your bath outlet is water saving them someone has put a basin or sink outlet on by mistake.
