I have some Qantas flights coming up and want to buy some headphones to watch their moves on. I remember the free ones they provide are pretty rubbish. Can anyone recommend anything under $100 - cheaper the better though. Thanks

Is it my imagination or are airlines now using a 3-prong headphone socket?
I thought they use 2 prong to stop you stealing them. Probably gone to 3 in the race to stop theft.
And make sure to lower your volume or you will go deaf when announcement on.

Oh lol what are people using now instead? Only other thing I see is phones which is too small for my liking.
Tablets! we travel with a few, pre-loaded with kids stuff and movie for car and planes, haven't done long distance plane flights since pre Covid though.
I tend to be happy listening to podcasts or audio books and snaffle a tablet when I can to watch a movie.

the porta pro's are slightly more bass heavy, so you may prefer them for movies with explosions and stuff, whereas the ksc75's offer a more balanced approach which is suitable for more music types and not so bass heavy. i have both and they both sound great, they are also very comfortable.
keep in mind that they are on ear, so they won't be any good for cancelling ambient noise, you will be able to hear everything around you.
if you prefer over ear closed back for a little bit of noise isolation, i recommend the coolermaster mh752 it is a bit pricier ($20 over budget) but i have been using them daily for the past few months, the mic is detachable so you can just use them as headphones, which is what i do. they are very comfortable.
You can buy a travel adapter like this $5 one and use any pair of headphones you want.
