Snuggledown 90/10 Hungarian Goose Quilt Queen $292.49, King $314.99 Delivered (First Order Only) @ Harris Scarfe

WELCOME10

I was looking for a Goose Down Quilt for the cold winter and found this. Currently half price at Harris Scarfe plus extra 10% off using the code. Not sure if its good deal but it's the cheapest I can find for a 90 Goose Down/10 Goose Feather Quilt. It was previously posted for around $40 more on ebay but I would prefer to buy it at a local store for better warranty. They also have the 80/20 version which is slightly cheaper.

  • Why are you choosing goose over Wool?

    • +1

because its lighter and warmer. I tried the goose quilt at my friend's house and its really warm

      • Fair enough, I always found it trapped moisture/didn't breath as nicely. Woke up clammy compared to wool.

  • Can anyone remember the name of the down quilt seller on eBay, an old ozbargain favourite, think he's in Sydney or Melbourne?
Best quilt I've ever owned, this just reminded me I wanted to get another one.
Otherwise any feedback on this particular quilt?

    • Not sure which one you're referring to but the other week I was looking at ebay and came across 2 main ones selling their own quilts. One mentioned they used Hungarian down while the other is using something else and claims the Hungarian down user is using something along the lines of Chinese sourced down as there's a shortage of Hungarian down.

Not sure who to believe as they're in competition with each other. Both were more expensive than the quilt posted in this deal so I'm tempted to just buy this one.

      Has anyone tried this brand?

    • I think you are referring to Supreme Quilt on eBay.

Bought from Supreme Quilt (Altai Snow Goose Down) as well as this Snuggledown brand.
Both are warm and very light when compared with wool. Highly recommend.

  • I have this one (queen size) bought 2month ago.
its light ~but not worm enough in winter even I live in Brisbane.

the most important of feather quilt is not the % (90/10~or even 70/30) NOT important
but the weight is the one.
in queen size its 882g only,(king is 1002g) not enough feather in it ,that's why its not worm enough. (14 degree in my bedroom 4am)

however , in website of myer or Harris Scarfe, the all not show the weight of the quilt !.
think its a kind of cheat.

anyway, my suggestion of buying a feather quilt is , make sure u know what weight it is.
for queen ~I think at least 1400g or more.

its ok for other season, but not winter unless you use heater all the night (20 degree+)
