I haven't checked how the 10-15% items stack up however the 30% appears to frequently be cheapest in market.

  • Only a handful in each category are discounted, not the entire range per title and description.

    • with the exception of clearance it should be 100% of each of the sub brands. Any links and i can look to get it fixed?

      • Creator export. Just 3 out of 20 sets are reduced.

EDIT: those 3 are the only "expert" sets. So it looks like you were right..

  • Think Friends is 25% off and still more expensive for the couple sets I looked at compared to Kmart etc.

    • Not sure how to paste a table but here are the first two rows of Lego Friends.
Note first three lines are clearance however exceed the 30% off, next 5 lines are non clearance and are at 30% off. Kmart have 7 of the 8 lines on their website and all except one look to be approx 20-22% discount from RRP, with one being particularly aggressive at 37.5% off retail.

Lego RRP Myer Discount Discount % Myer Note Kmart Price Discount Discount %

These prices are not low. Amazon does 35-45% off much of the friends line.

For example just grabbing your first entry, 41685, Amazon is $99 (38% off) vs Myer's $109 (32% "Clearance").

        • Thanks i was responding to Kmart note, please see below comparison of those same products to Amazon. Note these are the prices i found right now on amazon and it would appear that they are price matching the non clearance more expensive sets as they too are now 30% off on a range of Lego friends.
          41685 $109 vs $99
          41703 $89 vs $89
          41707 $15.99 vs $23.87
          41679 $34.99 vs $47
          41711 $76.99 vs $76.99
          41696 couldn't find.
          41718 $69.99 vs $69
          41713 $83.99 vs $83.99

  • Grabbed Seinfeld using +15% Myer gift cards from Coles so got it for $102.

The Coles I went to had heaps of $50 cards left as they'd been mistakingly telling customers that only the $100 cards were part of the promotion. It expires today.

annoyed i missed it to stack with Commbank rewards, now it's another week of those boring apple cards.

95 pc Duplo originally $200. Are they kidding at $2 a piece?

    • You're paying a premium for the rare official pieces like the slides and ferris wheel

  • Was hoping for some Duplo but seems to be still mostly cheaper on Amazon & Kmart, for the ones I’ve been looking at anyway.

As per the friends query above i grabbed the first 2 rows from myer.com.au the sale price in every instance is cheaper than Kmart and Amazon appears to now be price matching.

Checking a couple of them on the camels

https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B08W5FJ9HY This has been cheaper to $35 once in last 12 months

Any particular set i should review?

      • Your purchasing team needs to call lego and ask why kmart etc get great daily prices that you can't even hit with 30% off even it comes to desirable sets.

It's really not the sales or marketing team that have work to do, it's the purchasing team/corporate relationship managers/whatever you want to call them

I've already bought the good (both kid and afol) lego cheaper elsewhere regardless of 'price right now'. Myer is always rrp on anything good and that's why they mostly get flogged. Some duplo/friends Lego on sale isn't going to get much interest. Unless there's deal stacking myer is only worth it for the occasional speed champions set and even then you usually need to buy two to get the discount (no other sellers do that! I'll live with it for 25% but when it's only 20% you just wait and buy elsewhere)

Why is kmart's RRP $20 cheaper for botanical sets, star wars helmets, etc? Big W has some too like the icecream truck. Unless they're loss leading

PS: i do actually appreciate your effort and also responses

agree and i don't post when its 20% off due to value in market. And no problem i would love to discuss more but a lot of that stuff isn't something i can discuss openly.

  • Not surprised to see the Friends set on sale, the type of people who like the TV show are probably the type who would not be able to handle the complex task of joining 2 or more pieces of lego together.

    • How dare someone checks notes like a sitcom that won 62 prime time Emmys
