They are great cases. When you consider how expensive devices have become even at the full RRP of $99 it's worth it to protect your device. They are definitely more suited to those who are putting their phone through a rough time.

You would want a brand that you know of (like Spigen, Mous etc) to protect your phone

Slammed my phone in a car door today, twice, Otterbox saved it, like it's saved it from accidents and stupidity many times before. What this case does is save you having to buy a new phone. $20 is a steal.
I've used an Otterbox Defender case for my Galaxy S7 for over five years now. The phone gets a little dusty here and there, and the thermals aren't great on hot days. But the phone looks like it's in mint condition otherwise despite many horrible drops.
Otterbox is really expensive, but their lifetime (7 years?) warranty is great. I've gotten 3 note 10+ cases for 1 as the bottom kept unglueing after a year which was a minor annoyance. When the port bit detached, they also sent another replacement. That's if you buy direct from their website which is rrp I guess. But when I bought from Amazon, they refunded me after 7 months as the port thing came out again

Otterbox, Pelican, these brands are the best insurance for your almost 2k phone. They are bulky but it is like a bull bar when driving in the outback! And if you are like me and thing jump out of your hands, the only reason I still have my iPhone 7 still without breaking the screen are these cases!
honestly, the bulk is a positive for me. phones feel too thin and delicate without a nice bulky case, i don't know how people can use a phone without one and not worry about breaking it.
Just picked up 2 x S22 Ultra 512GB.
Anyone know the bees knees? When researching online you get pulled in different directions, becomes hard to tell. Don't plan on dropping it off my roof. But if that happened..what case should I get?
I personally like Incipio duos. Feels good in the hand, protective but not super heavy. It has antimcrobial surface too which is pretty good at these times.
Or if you like Otterbox, go for the symmetry. Similar features as the duo but more textured hard plastic feel than rubbery feel on the Incipio.

@seamonkey: A warning on the otterbox symmetry - my iPhone XR rear glass shattered twice in one. The defender is far superior
@DemocracyManifest: That must be quite a heavy drop. Last time I had symmetry clear was for an S9 and P30 (garbage BTW). It does its job quite well given what my wife put the S9 through. Optus had trade up back then and did not deduct a cent. I was happy and just keep my mouth shut🤣🤣🤣
The number of times otter box has saved my phone is too many to count
I have the blue iphone 13 pro. Would pick this up in a heartbeat is it is the otterbox clear symmetry series.
I like the Gear 4 Santa Cruz for my 13 pro! I like the look of it better than the Otterbox even though they’re just clear cases lol
Base on internet pricing, I rather pay that extra $10 for a clear symmetry.
I am using a Spigen clear case from Big W when I got the phone 6 months ago. Seems OK for now, but would have to get a new one in 6 months ti. E when the oxidation gets too bad
I bought it for 60. It is a good case except boring black looking and no MagSafe charging (too thick).
I had no problem charging Galaxy Note 8 with the provided Samsung wireless charger & the thick OtterBox Defender Case.
Any iphone SE cases ? mine just RIP'd
