Be careful with these. I bought one and then went to a cafe expecting to use it.

The cafe then said they no longer were taking Liven and had asked to be removed and I had to pay in full. Liven then refused to provide me the full discount.

I wouldn't recommend Liven and prepaying credit after that experience

    • Chargeback

    • Liven then refused to provide me the full discount.

Liven makes it clear in their Liven guarantee but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    • Interesting, I had a similar experience because the shop was closed down but Liven gave me a full refund.

Also, there was a merchant that was listed on the app but was told "the machine is out of battery" when I bought something. Reached out to Liven and they were happy to manually credit me the cashback if I provided a receipt.

  • Shit. I just bought $100 worth but then it flashed up a Participating locations only thing. Am I limited to just the Flinders Street store (Vic)? Can anyone tell if it is available at places like Brickworks Burwood or Chadstone Shopping Center?

    • Only Flinders Lane unfortunately. They don’t expire, so you can use it whenever you are in city I guess.

Dammit. This is very unfortunate. Right now messaging them to see if I can get a refund as I do not travel into the city anymore.

        • Feeling this. Let me know if you get your $ back. I bought credit for a city cafe and now it's only valid for a non-city location.

          • @anastasiastarz: Messaged them and they have done a refund request for me. It will take 2-10 business days to process and will be processed back to the original credit card I used.
My situation might be a bit different to you as I had only just bought the credit and had not used any of the credit.

Just be careful with Liven and keep an eye out from time to time as some businesses close down or stop accepting Liven and you won't get notified so it's up to you to pick up and contact CS for refund etc.

In saying that, my experience had been positive as they are fairly quick to respond and haven't had any issues getting refunds/Liven credit back.
