I just ordered this one from Amazon for AU$49.17 and think it's a bargain. All reviews for this drive are quite good. If you are using it with USB 2.0 interface, it's still providing very high read/write speeds (37/29MB/s). Highest speeds with USB 3.0 interface are 130/84MB/s.

I reckon if you can get GST back, then the saving is only about $5.
Which is like 10%, but you get to support a local business.
And if anything went wrong, it'd probably be easier to manage
the problem with someone local (though Amazon are amazing with
handling defective products. Amazingly so).
And I'd be sad if places like pccasegear closed their shops.Just thinking aloud.
Supersonic Express is much slower it's not a newer or older version it's just a tier down in terms of performance I have the Supersonic listed above and can guarantee these are fast drives
I thought about getting a USB 3.0 thumbdrive to put movies on to take to my GF's to watch on her/my WD Live TV but realised it's about the same price to buy a 60GB'ish SSD and something like the Seagate GoFlex USB 3.0 adapter. I already had the adapter so that wasn't another purchase I needed to make though.
If you want something ultra portable and easy, of course get a thumbdrive.
This is a great deal though, when I got my SSD, thumbdrives prices were not this good.
Got 1, thx OP
same brand, same price at MSY - $35 as everyday price.
Nope its not. Get the part # from MSY and compare. MSY is the old slower model.
How do these compare to the oversized white models that MSY periodically put on sale for $37?

That is significantly slower…and too big.Your welcome! Nice to see an Ozbargainer with manners :) Glad to help out. I've just ordered mine and their are 17 left in stock. Make sure you order in USD if your using 28degrees mastercard for payment as it works out to be approx. $47.65 AUD instead of the Amazon conversion price of $49.50
went ahead and bought one. Have been looking for a good 32GB USB 3.0 thumb drive. thanks op

edit: Disregard. It seems the above is a newer version of the drive with a similar name as the one I linked to.
Here's the local equivalent.
And here's the cheaper version I originally linked to.
