$5 for battlefield is still over paying

Not a bad price to have a spare physical case to swap the contents with a damaged/scuffed one for any collectors out there. Hard to find the cases on their own for much cheaper than this.

      • Picked up around 20 sealed copies of Rocket Arena when JB was clearing them out at $1 each for the same reason.

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl was $34 each in april.

    • +2

Ah my bad, I did a quick search and only saw $48-$49 recently. Didn't look hard enough, thanks for pointing that out!

  • +1

    $5 for back 4 blood ain't bad

    • +5

I'd rather just spend $2.90 and buy Left 4 Dead 2 instead.

    • +1

Excellent deal. I clocked a couple of hundred hours before I moved on.

EB on a bargain website. What a time to be alive!

    • +3

How big is that rock you were under?

      • -2

Big enough for a lot of people it seems.

    Upvote for Grogu!

    • Great little figure but the voice to me was super creepy!

  • If they want to call it a sale, they better have more real deals.

  • +5

Still waiting for ultimate edition of Miles Morales for $50…

  • Pokemon worth it at that price? I've been thinking about getting one since I got a switch last year. Have not played a Pokemon game since OG Red/Blue back in the day.

    • +3

I reckon you can't go wrong for 39 if you haven't played Diamond & Pearl before.

It is definitely a lackluster remake, which you'll hear if you look around. But if you haven't played anything since RB I think its fine.

    • +3

As someone who's played them all, I'd say this one was a real let down because they palmed it off to a third party developer, Legends Arceus was a much better game. That said, if you haven't played since gen 1, this one mightn't be too bad to jump in on - it will feel familiar and it's not as 'hand-holdy' as the later games have been. Subjectively I think gen 4 Pokemon were the last ones with a good combination of simple and interesting designs (but that might be nostalgia talking). It's rare you'll find a Pokemon game this cheap new or used.

      • Arceus felt like a demo.
Was way too chatty too… was the first pokemon game I ended up having…

  • Literally bought it from EB today as a gift for $57
    😀🔫

    • 7-day refund policy 😉
      Unless you've already gifted it.

Even so, buy another one and return with old (higher price) receipt

        • +1

Ah yes, the old indictable offence to save some buckeroos tip

          • @King Steuart: Please excuse my ignorance - I genuinely want to unpack “indictable offence”. Any more info on this?

            • +1

              @denpol85: It's fraud isn't it? You're returning a product under false pretenses?

              • +1

@AnonyL: Ah, yes - not sure why that didn’t instantly click for me. When I read the comment, I thought there was a notable arrest I was out on the loop on!

                • +1

@denpol85: Just doing my part keeping Ozbargainers out of jail. The mods sure as sh!t won't delete the offending comment.

                  • @King Steuart: How is it false pretenses if they are literally the exact same item, from the same store no less?

                    • @BartholemewH: Because you're claiming the one you bought was sold to you at a higher price than it was

It's different from going in and saying "I'm still within the seven day return window, could you please sort me out today's price?" where they have all the information and can decide whether they'll honour that.

Using an old receipt with a new copy is probably "gaining unfair advantage" in legalese or something like that

This 2 games are in the top 10 best selling Switch titles in 2021 and 2022.
Seldom discounted to under $40; not even on Prime Day sales

  • Would be nice if the PC version of 2042 goes to $5, probably pick it up for that…

  • All time low for Miles Morales?

  • One day sale before the mid year sale "must end" on the 24th?

Methinks Pokemon hasn't been moving at its higher price

  • +1

Hopefully Miles Morales for PS4 goes cheap its still sitting around 70 bucks.

  • +1

    ….

    • +2

They keep swapping back and forth with every F5, but yeah a single page of deals with most of what could already been seen in the twitter image :/
Was expecting more to scroll through.

Well that was a let down. Ah well.

      • +1

Apologies - I deleted my previous comment when I saw the prices change. Rubbish on offer for PS4/5 XBO/SX. It's embarrassing to call this a sale.

    • EB really do be like that all_the_times

  • +5

Amazon has price matched Pokémon Pearl and Spider-Man: Miles Morales

    • +2

      And Battlefield.

  • FYI - their EB Games eBay store has been updated too. Free delivery with eBay plus. Battlefield 2042 not included with free delivery

  • +1

The ebgames at Hurstville is soooo tricky that they sold me a preowned pokemon diamond with deep scratches on gold chip as brand new one. Hell Dodgy!

  • Amazon seems to have priced matched a bunch of these items now for anyone interested and with Prime to skip the shipping costs
