wow, never know that Coles is selling board game.

    • +4

Definitely in the “random things” area. Doesn’t even get its own aisle.

      • +12

An entire aisle of Pandemic board games would be overdoing it, I think.

        • +3

But an entire side of an aisle of board games is completely feasible

      • +3

is it next to the toilet paper?

        • +4

Yes, & just as obtainable in pandemic

        • I know people were using replacements for toilet paper when they couldn't get it but using board games instead of toilet paper is a bit much …

    • +2

They seem to be trying to copy Aldi's playbook. Just not doing it very well.

  • +2

Nice find op. I got mine for $24 at coles too (SA), so probably shop specific pricing.

  • +1

wow thats cheap, i would definitely get one if i see it, too bad fairfield is too far away from me

  • +1

I've spotted a few ultra cheap board games in my local Coles bin. This and Quoridor. Super weird that they have them there.

  • +6

Found mine sealed in a vinnies for 10 dollarydoos

    • +1

I got mine from mission city sealed for $8! Woooo.

    • +2

Got mine for free when I joined the Freemasons. Oh wait, I am not allowed to talk about this (our plans for a new world order)… ;)

  • +1

@owgasm great find, easy +1, this is definitely nation wide, found one in VIC

    • May I know which Coles in Vic? Thanks

      • +1

id recommend just checking local, my store only had one left, west melbourne

  • If I didn't already own three copies…

    • +3

Definitely a game all my friends already had, so I never needed to buy it, but at this price it’ll stay on my shelf for a rainy day or when my friends leave me

      • +2

        Aww.
You can always call me if that happens.

        • +1

It would be nice to see wetwork and owgasm play game together

    • +2

Yeah. Socialising and fun are now illegal again like in the before times

    • -4

the downvotes must be people still stuck in lockdown 😬

  • +5

Great game - insane price for it!
I've been playing it since long before it became a documentary.

  • +8

I lived the Pandemic, don't want to play it.

  • +1

Hi my name is Bill and Iove this game

    • +6

Hi Bill, that's a roller coaster of a tale!

      • Just renewed for Season 2! Hopefully they’ll shine a little more light on Bill’s origin story this time around.

  • Picked one up from Toowoomba, QLD too. Excited to pay for the first time!

    • +1

So you never paid for stuff before? That’s exciting.

  • live really close maybe ill check it out

    • Near the frozen section/new loose dog treat aisle. Good luck :)

  • +2

    just in time for monkeypox

  • Amazon price match?

  • +1

Saw this earlier this week, was $16 flat on the central coast

  • How does one … "win" …. in said game?!

    • +3

You work as a team to manage the spread and find cures for 4 different viruses. You win when you and your team have found cures for all 4 viruses.
One of the very few co-op board games I've played. Very enjoyable even with just 2 players, and worth a replay every so often.

      • +1

So that is how we will defeat covid-19

        • +1

Yeah except half of the players are ripping up their cards and refusing to agree with how the game should be played

  • +1

I picked up a Philips Go Zero starter kit for $29 at a Coles one night. That was a good find.

  • I think sales of the original game may have slowed with the new "Seasons" Pandemic games that everyone seems to be keen on these days

    • The game was released in 2008. Sales bound to slow down eventually.

  • Really want this, still expensive at my coles

    • +1

      Check every time you shop!
Apparently even cheaper clearance price at other stores

  • +3

Man, isn't the current situation enough of a game for people? Lol

  • +1

They were on clearance for $8 at Mona Vale, NSW last week. Didn't post as there were only 4 left at the time.

    • Yeah got the last from my local for $8 the other day. Next store still had it at $40 :\

  • +2

Got mine for $5 at Coles Epping

    • damn I would 100% have gotten a second spare copy at that price

      • Damn indeed. I promised myself I would limit my library to the Iberia version but at that price…!

  • +2

$8.50 at Coles Casula, had about 5 left.

    • That's where I got my Philips Go Zero! Damn it I'm in isolation til next Wed. Most likely gone by then!

      • The go zero doesn't have a gas cylinder and they are 40 bucks which totally kills the deal

        • Comes with the jug and filter. If you buy the Sodastream gas, it's still cheaper than anywhere else.

          • @Munki: I have seems sodastream and sodakimgs going as cheap as 29 bucks with the gas.

Also seems that there's lots of reviews of the Philips one running a full bottle of gas after only 20L due to poor seals, so it might be a false economy. Let me know how you go.

Also don't care about the jug, I guess I might be able to flog it

  • Confirming this is at Revesby also

    • $17?

      • No, $1127. Didn't post cos there was only 6 or so

  • +1

Wetherill Park was still $39.99 :( Had about 6 or so though, so keep an eye out on it going down in price soon I'd imagine.
I ended up going to Fairfield West and picked up the last one there. Thanks OP!

    • +1

      Congrats!

  • Ah, nice. It was $39.95 at the nearest Coles about a week ago. Will have to double check it now.

  • -8

Ah yes "Covid Cases" in other words fake statistics. I'm still surprised we're allowed to buy ladders and step-stools since they kill 3 times the amount of people per year then any "covid" deaths.

    • R U OK?

      • -1

Still waiting on the test results…

  • Picked up the last 2 of these at Coles special buys (lutwyche qld) for $10 each last week, bargain!

  • Picked up one in Waurn Ponds, Geelong last week for $30. Was pretty stoked at the price but reading through the comments feel like I paid overs for it!

    • If you pick up another, you technically only paid $23.50 for one…

      • Are you a trader?

        • -2

No, getting a backup copy of a good game is always a worthy idea though. Cards get worn out, lost pieces etc

Buying another item at a lower price also brings down the price you paid for each item. Helps 'save' a bit of dollarydoos.

  • -3

Personally I'm waiting for the Plandemic board game

  • In Vic, Forest Hill and Burwood have some in stock.

  • +2

Got the last one at Coles Tuggeranong for a whopping $4.25(!)

  • +1

    Thanks just picked one up.

About 5 left at Coles Stanhope Gardens.

  • +1

Just got the last one at my Coles for $16.99 :(

    • Either that or none at all? :(

  • +1

Grabbed the last one at the Sebastopol store

  • 3 left at coles silkstone

  • +1

I just bought two at west Ryde coles, there isn’t a sign showing the discount but it is $16.99 at check out

    • Great to hear!!!
