Would it be cheaper to buy an external hard drive, or buy an internal one and put it in a case, I don't know how it works and is the installation hard?
thanks

office works 2TB USB 3 seagate 7200RPM $98 at the moment
saw that, but are usb 2 ones cheaper?
Not necessarily now days.
I ordered a 3TB USB 3.0 from Amazon @ $160.
A couple of weeks later, 3TB USB 2.0 in NSW was selling at a bit over $150. So therefore, minimal difference.
I would upgrade to a 3.0 anyday. Its a lot faster.
Using an internal drive in a case:
1. Much better warrenty (some are 5 year)
2. Better cases (some have eSata, and LAN support)
But they cost more
Installation is easy.
If you are looking for a portable one then probably cheaper external but I haven't looked at internal pricing for those.
3.5 inch AC powered drive - go for external
