A store name would be useful

    Address would be more useful

"I'm not too sure about this, but is this a good deal?" Is not useful.

    • Fixed. While the OP should post details, you can hit the report button and one of the moderators can fix it up.

      • … i did hit the report button so you could help w/editing.

    • Sorry! My bad! My second posts here, so wasn't too sure how should it be done. But I will be honest, I seriously don't know if this is a good deal, that's why I am asking here. Anyway, thanks for fixing up the post. I will take note of those in the future!

    PERTH IN TITLE

  • This place is ok use to go there when I lived in Perth.

  • Renowned, award winning fish and chip shop

    which awards ?

    • They won best fish and chips in wa a few times about 10-15 years ago when i was a kid.. I dont know who gives out those awards though, i have a feeling the west australian was involved.

The place has changed hands about half a dozen times over the last 10 years but still make decent fish and chips. Its very overpriced though. I think it was $30 for myself last time I went which is a lot for fish and chips served in paper.

Their grilled peri peri fish is really nice, I dont know any other places that do it.

I wouldnt say its the best but it usually pretty good.

  • Interesting name for a fish…

  • I used to go here a bit years ago, one of the best fish and chips. Not sure if it is still the same, but if so, is good.

Do people in wa actually say squid rings?

    • +3

      Yes.

    • what else are they called?

      • swqud rings in new zealand, calamari in perth/australia

      • +1

        Calamari rings

      • I've only ever seen/heard them called squid rings in WA, especially at fish and chips shops

    • squid rings

  • Award winning :/ what awards? there are no awards…..
The "normal" pricing is way to expensive for what you get Id say
this place is treated more like a restaurant when it come to these so called
awards not a local suburban Fish & chip shop.

And I know what Im talking about when it comes to fish and chips,
been doing it for 8 years. :)

    (PS Squid Rings lol)

Squid Rings…. and we call an adjustable spanner a "crescent"

We eat a "round" of sandwiches" [try asking for a "round of ham and cheese" in geelong… blank stares they had no idea]

    And we eat "polony"

And we do not get out of bed an hour earlier in summertime for anybody.

We do not call service stations "servos"

We consider south australia to be in the "eastern states" which it is.

BUT.. you ozbees over east get more bargains than we do, and you deserve to.

now.. time for me to grope in the sand again

    cheers

    • I'd trade all that except for the better bargains for a postie that dumps my stuff at my door lol
