Saw a similar deal posted earlier this month and this deal beats it by almost $20.
Not the cheapest historically but it's pretty close!
I'm not 100% sure if eBay Plus is required to use the promo code.

Also 5600 which performs very similarly to the 5600x is $260.19 here(ebay.com.au) with same coupon
Edit: these ones don’t have the cooler but you can pay extra if you need it
AMD's stock cooler is super trash, so you'll probably be looking at a 3rd party cooler anyway.
Not really they are better than Intel as they have a copper core.
Stock in general are not great
@DaTa: The current gen of coolers, whilst not the best are still miles better than anything Intel provides. CoolerMaster were the original OEM for the AMD stock coolers. The Wraith Prism used to provide similar thermal performance to a a Hyper 212 but had a slightly louder fan. People are still buying them used on eBay for $20 to $30.
The Prism and Spire really are not. They can be loud, because they're compact, but a well designed copper plate, heatpipe cooler is anything but 'super trash'. Testing proves this at every source I know of.
The OEM ones won't come with original packaging? How do you check if OEM chips aren't 2nd hand used?
You can't.
Harris Tech is an established retailer. You just need to assess your trust of the seller.
5600 (non-x) can be overclocked easily to 4.4 all core. Using stock cooler and AMD PBO and it is rock solid.
nice find! great if you only require the chip.
This is the price the 5600x should've launched with in the first place. It's absurd that this had worse price-performance than the 3600 did. Remember kids, corps aren't your friends. The instant one is leading in performance they won't blink at a 50% price increase.
performance not that much better

The instant one is leading in performance they won't blink at a 50% price increase.
it's cos intel wasn't as competitive in same price/cpu
Please don't link to userbenchmark.com - they're both biased and misleading.
cpubenchmark.net is a much better alternative: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/AMD-Ryzen-5-5600X-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-3600/3859vs3481(cpubenchmark.net)
Yes please don't use Usebenchmark. They are good at SEO to get newbies to to find them, and that's it. Their comparison algorithm has been heavily criticised for being misleading.
Are there any good services that provide a quick reference comparison of CPUs/GPUs performance?
@saramark: Hardware unboxed videos are really good. You can skip to the summary/overall graph for a quick reference
No company is your friend. They have to make money when they get the opportunity to do so. Why? In this case, because they have Intel and nVidia to compete with which are money mosters. If AMD gives it for cheap and cannot invest in further R&D, it will go for a toss! They still have a large loan too and Intel and nVidia are coming back with vengence.
The best thing for us to do is hope there is balanced competition between companies and find the best value equipment that suits our needs.
What category really sux is how expensive Apple and highend Samsung phones are. Instead of competing for features, they fight for whose phones are priced higher.
Yes, I hate how people treat AMD like the good guys and the other 2 like the bad guys, they are all corporations that want your money
Unfortunately Intel has a long history of trying to stifle competition through non technological means, hence they have earned that reputation in the last 30+ years, and have had multiple lawsuits against them from governments and x86 licence holders like Cyrix.
