It not added up because the second read resulted nearly 400kwh the last result in 316kwh

Date ranges cover different times for different tariff periods or changes in billing price?

It's not like the total between start and finish has been recorded 3 times…
The three sub totals equal the total usage between the start and finish reading.

Though nfi what google search term results in this forum being the place to make a new user account to ask a question like this is :/

I think Google Search has had better days.

When Google doesn't know the answer, it just randomly opens an ozbargain account and reposts.

      Siri wouldn't do that. lol

maybe when you create a forum topic there is a tick box, have you googled this question and maybe it automatically links to google and searches the topic

Maybe someone on an 'English is my second language' Facebook group has promoted Ozbargain as the Australian Google/Yahoo Answers replacement.

All the posts have terrible grammar in common.

Hi, thanks for comment. I did but not added up. They charges 3 times (1) Start 46, (2) start 14k (3) start 6k

Those are three different meters, for things like either a dedicated load meter, solar fit meter, primary supply meter etc
They are not the same device as you can't have start readings that differ from the same meter (not can they go backwards)

I suggest you look up a few basic guides on how your supply and billing works

        • Sounds like they have old style 3 phase metering, one meter per phase.

They didnt charged you three times.

Look under kWh, they charge you peak, shoulder and unpeak usage.

If you add up these three numbers, they equal to the different between start and end reference reading.

Congrats on moving out for the first time and signing up with AGL

Hi, thanks for comment. I did but not added up. They charges 3 times (1) Start 46, (2) start 14k (3) start 6k

      • Do you have controlled load like hot water tank? That is what i think (3) is. Or it could be demand charge (check the offer you sign up) or it could be solar feed in (unlikely as they usually shown as negative) I dont know. You need to tell us more.

It would be handy if you upload the entire bill and cross out your details (except your name, we got that from drop box)

And your nmi number. Do not show that online.

          • @SBOB: Just signed op up to the most expensive plan I could find.

        • … and cross out your details (except your name, we got that from drop box)

I would have thought their OzBargain username may have given a hint too.

What did the supplier say when you contacted them?

    • +10

They didn’t know and said to ask Australia’s foremost bargain sharing community.

    • OzB is the weekend defacto support hotline.

      • Yup. Just like last night i signed up a dodgy energy australia plan and they didnt pick up phone! How rude!

Oh wait i am not pam… oops

        • Sadly Pam’s antics have been rather thin on the ground and very tame… I’m concerned about her.

I think you just blew his the OP's mind! Thats some Archimedes sitting in the bathtub, Isaac Newton having the apple fall on him moment for them. ;-)

As yes I completely agree - call the service provider and query. Then IF the answer is dodgy or unclear post up a tiny portion of a bill and ask total strangers for input.

  • And next time don't use drop box to share images here lol

If you use excel you will see they have NOT charged you 3 times. Call their support number and get them to explain it based on the context you have supplied as the rest of the bill will show how they got the peak/shoulder/peak values.

  • Peak
    Off-Peak
    Shoulder

Maybe a controlled load in there too

Look at the part that has $ figures against it

  • What does it say under "how we've worked out your bill"?

  • Trandinhdu0616,
I suggest you show a photo of your said energy bill here for better understanding. You may delete those private lines you wish. This way it is easier to help you what is wrong with your bill.
