Super fast charging requires PPS.
The Anker PowerPort III Mini 30W Power IQ 3.0 USB-C Charger with PowerIQ 3.0 technology provides full-speed charging with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge and USB-C Power Delivery for phones, tablets, laptops and more. It works flawlessly with nearly all mobile USB-C devices and other laptops, tablets and more at full 30W speed.
question is PowerIQ 3 the same as PD 3.0 ….. anker have has power IQ for years so that they could supports QC and PD on the same ports ….. i’d it PD 3.0 compliant ?
hate vague terms like fast charge or full charge
Yes not sure.
PowerIQ means zero. It's a marketing name to say "it works with everything".
PD 3.0 is it's own thing, but this has it.
What it doesn't have is PPS for the latest phones (this charger is a few years old). Super Fast Charging for Samsung latest phones doesn't work. You just get standard fast charging.
@BradH13: PPS is part of the PD 3.0 standard.
Edit: seems as though PPS is not a necessary inclusion in the PD 3.0 standard. Why do they bother?
Why are the reviews so poor
Not sure. I have 2 of these as well and they charge iphones fast. So far, no complaints.
Hopefully kogan ones aren’t fake
To be clear, it supports fast charge, not super fast charge ;)
I also bought 2 from Kogan before. Just bought one more at this price.
What is super fast charge? I thought newer iphones have a limit?
@Brakus: Samsung phones have fast charge, and the new ones have "super fast charge".
There is also "adaptive fast charging".
What's next, "ultra super fast charging"?
@joshx: Usain Bolt charging.
@Brakus: super fast is a marketing term not a specification ……PD has gone though a couple of standards…..PD 3.0 rather than having a few step combinations of voltage and current , allows increments between the steps ….so rather than charging at 5v or 9v you can charge at 5,6,7,8,9 volts ….. and because voltage and current are related (wattage = current x voltage) rather than dropping to a lower voltage e.g from 9v to 5v you might spend some time on 6V and 7v so it will charge faster ….. PD 3.0 is a specification that features PPS ….. and QC 4.0 (qualcomm proprietary) also supports PPS …. PD 3.0 is the magic number to look for if you want incremental rather than step charging ….. and of course a PD 3.0 60w charger might charge quicker than a PD 30w charger depending how the phone has been designed ….. “super fast” isn’t a specification ….it’s marketing term, i could call it “ultra super charging if i had a new phone brand and wanted to sell. more phones or samsung want to release a new model with a better cable or samsung now bundle 40w charger. PD 3.0 is the specification that supports lots of the lastest fast charging options including PPS…..yeah samsung ultra fast charger ….40w instead 30w doesn’t mean phone charges quicker as you don’t want to overheat the phone.
@garage sale: PPS is optional. Super fast charging relies on PPS.
The USB Power Delivery specification revision 3.0 defines an optional Programmable Power Supply (PPS) protocol that allows granular control over VBUS power, allowing a range of 3.3 to 21 V in 20 mV steps to facilitate constant-current or constant-voltage charging.
@ihfree: So PD 3.0 doesn’t necessarily include PPS?
Good to know.
@Brakus: I've noticed my Samsung S20 FE 5G has 3 charging levels depending on which cable and charger I use:
Charging
Fast charging
Super fast charging
@x x: We’ve never been to “ludicrous charging” before!
The free trial for Kogan First is one time only right?
For some reason it's still there for me and I can add it to my cart, will I get an error during checkout? Though I'm more worried they'll charge me for a year.
How is this "a little bit better" than the other deal? What's different about the products? They look identical, save for the different price.
good point, seems they are the same thing, and this is $10 less, so is a 40% discount on the other deal. Not so "little".

No PPS so no super fast charging for Samsung phones?
