A good alternative to the Macpac Halo but this one also comes with a hood.

True Maybe, But AFAIK there is no theme song dedicated to this jacket.
The Macpac However:

I have one. It's not as puffy as the Halo but uses higher loft down; it's in between the Halo and Uber light in terms of warmth.
I have both this and the Halo. The Halo is good for the super cold days but I find this to be a lot more versatile for travelling — packs small, comfortable, and super warm for its weight. It's also way better for layering too (e.g. you can easily wear a waterproof layer on top). Only criticism is that the hood doesn't have adjustments so it may not be as comfortable for some with slightly smaller/larger heads.
Same sizing between the two ?
Yeah, take the size you usually wear with Decathlon's. I sized down with the Halo.
Also, when travelling and I don't need the jacket, I usually pack it up into its pocket-size and use it as a pillow on the plane/camping. I
Thanks for the helpful comment. You pushed me over line.
I ended up adding some gloves to get it over $100 and found this coupon for 20% off on some items: 20BDAY2563AU
For some reason I only had the option for Express shipping which was $40+. Metro Melbourne address too. I did click and collect instead.
From the photo it looks like it would suit an alien from outer space.
IMO this is better than Kathmandu or Macpac equivalent. The price to quality ratio is unmatched in the current down jacket market. Not to mention decathlon has a great returns/refund policy.
Here is a US review of the hooded version of the jacket:

The non-hooded version is also available on special for cheaper price and has internal pockets which the hooded version does not come with.

The cheap lightweight Kathmandu/Anaconda/Macpac ones use ~650 fill power, whereas this uses 850. This jacket is a better (lighter) version of THOSE jackets.
It's been $65 on sale, but even $100 is a steal. $280+ is the price for a brand-name version of it.
The jackets like Halo with way bigger baffle sizes are for colder temps. This one is good for (just standing) ~5C with base layer, or pushing 0-2C with an added fleece.
This is also THE jacket to buy when seeking a lightweight hiking puffer, for the price.
The grey model is now down to $67 but for some reason, the only shipping option is express, which costs more than the jacket! ($69)
This is more comparable to other lightweight puffer jackets. The Halo is loaded with lower quality down but ends up being way warmer (and heavier) because it's just bulk down and feathers.
