Issue with YouTube Premium via Argentina

Hi all,

I've followed the steps in the YouTube Premium via Argentina thread, and all the accounts in the family group have YouTube premium now.

However all the google accounts linked to the family group no longer show Australian specific apps (Google Pay/Channel 7/Stan/Binge) despite the country showing as Australia in the Google Play 'Account and device preferences'.

When I login to a Google account that's not in the family group, those apps appear again in the Play Store.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Edit: I've cancelled the subscription and kicked everyone off the family account, and the Australian specific apps reappeared

Haven't had this problem at all. Used VPN and signed up via youtube.com/premium
Never had an issue with Google Play - just random bollywood music recommended occasionally.

Can you search for the apps that are missing? Or are they just not downloadable at all?
If a no to the above, can you download the apps and then start using Argentina YT?

Use a separate Google account for YT Premium and use that account to login to YouTube/YT App only. Use your standard Google account for your phone/PC etc.

For family members, setup separate Google accounts for each of them too as above.

This hasn't been necessary for me.

      • Do you use a family account? I had peeps complaining about the exact same things OP is before I did the above. Also don't want to risk getting my main Google account nuked if they work out I've used a loophole. Already noticed that Google now won't allow me to change payment method on that India account strangely enough.

I've just used my main account, no problem.

      • That's what I did too, no problems for a while, two months later they jacked my price from 110 Pesos to 389!

        • Yep I just got that too. Don't mind that much given its still pretty damn cheap.

  • I'm having same issue on 4 gmail accounts in my family group. For example I can't find Australian 7-Eleven or McDonald apps.
