Whats the difference ? Or shall i ask whats better ?

      • +2

        Us version

The au versions are typically gimped in some form or another

        • What does that even mean?

      • +7

        As per the Amazon page:
The US Version of the blaster utilizes a more powerful spring which allows the blaster to fire the dart further. Go the distance with this blaster that fires darts up to 90 feet (27 meters)

No difference any more. The Australian legislation changed last year, previously we had to have blasters that didn't shoot as hard as regular nerf guns found in most countries. The way to tell is the colour of the trigger. The "normal" nerf blasters have an orange trigger, the softer shooting ones have a grey trigger. For X-Shot, you can see the range estimates on the front of the packaging. The old softer shooting ones said 60 feet, the full powered ones say 80 or 90 feet.

Retailers only receive the full powered versions now since the law changed. If you see a grey trigger/60 feet blaster it is old stock.

        • I'm surprised the Australian govt hasn't banned these yet. I'm guessing it's on their list of things to ban or regulate heavily.. like they did banning firecrackers because some stupid kid blew his finger off back in 1983 by holding a firecracker

After I already 'pulled the trigger' on two of these I found the same unit in Target and Best and Less for only a few bucks more. Still a bargain, but not the 'amazon exclusive' I thought it was (for the coveted US version).

Still glad I got them. One of the negative amazon reviews is that it dented their wall. That's awesome.

    ‘Toys for kids’ haha

  • is it safe? or does it hit too hard to kids? ….for 8 year old

I recommend eye protection if it’s kids..

      • But what if you want your kids to look like Jack Sparrow?

      • Adult eyes don't need protecting?

Eye protection should be included with these stupid toys. Copping a nerf dart in the eye is not fun regardless of age.

        • well i mean.. kids are kids..

hmm that being said some adult are just kids in big bodies… hmm good point - eye protection recommend for all!

My boys are 7, daughter is 11. have owned a variety of Nerf guns for about 2 years now and never an incident with injury. They always wear safety glasses when playing and have been instructed to a) not aim at head ever, and b) never too close to each other. A common sense approach is all that is needed. Nerfs are perfectly safe under logical adult supervision. Safety glasses for sure though, because those bullets could really do some damage at close range into an eye.

Feel for yourself when you buy them. You can shoot them directly into your hand without any discomfort whatsoever. But at close range into the neck, cheeks, or ear etc (soft tender bits) and it'll cause discomfort.

I didn't need this, but I got 3. One for my kid, wife and myself. It will be war at my place!

    • What you need is a modified full auto electric blaster with upgraded motors.
If it’s truly war, then you must win, whatever the cost!

Didn't need one. And don't like kids shooting each other. But bought one anyway.

  • How do we get it for 9.60 .. it shows up as 12$ for me?

  • Just got it today and man this packs a punch. it is no top for small kids lol
