I have my kid on $5 a month with Dodo (unlimited talk/text), but I think that plan is not offered to new signups anymore?
I used to have that plan, they kicked me off it ages ago without telling me. After a few months when I noticed I was here by charged 10 bucks they refunded me the extra charge but insisted I move over then, so I left
Your mum doesn't need data? She doesn't have friends on Facebook or TikTok or whatever?
Clearly she is of a generation that doesn't
Nice advice.
Wish it had call diversion (I need it). But that's a good option.
Is this still a thing? Signed my Mum up September last year and am now looking to get 2 kids the same plan, but can't find it on the website or the app.
Will chat with Amaysim on Monday.I did find it eventually, comes up as an option when changing plan.
I've got my mum signed up to Aldi PAYG mobile. It's not a plan but you can create an auto recharge so the service stays active.
The initial SIM contains $5 credit. The minimum top-up is $15. Top-ups have a 365 day expiry.
Whenever you do a top-up with Aldi PAYG, does the 365-day restart again on that day?
Yes
Thanks, kerfuffle. I have the same question for Amaysim PAYG, if you or anyone else happen to know.
@bluesky: I can’t answer that question, but logic would say yes as well if you buy a 365-day recharge
@kerfuffle: Yes, that makes sense. Thanks.
Does Aldi mobile have roaming for receiving txt messages overseas?
Amaysim Talk & Text only. $60/year. Only available for transferring plan.
AL & DI are cheap.

We pay $10 a year with Amaysim, just use it to receive calls.
you can save $5 by using ALDI mobile starter kit (for receiving CALLS AND TEXTS)
😲
Groupon amaysim regularly do a 6 renewal for like $10 every 6 months or so. So that would be the next port in and out option. (This would last 6*28 days +180 days validity aka 348 days not much far away from year )
Although I really personally dont recommend amaysim because of their bad customer support
seems can't find any cheap like amaysim $60 for calls and text…
