Does anyone think even a luxury holiday in Cairns is 'worth' $6,700?
'From' $1,210 per person per night even with breakfast is hard to reconcile, unless it's free for the winner. I tried booking some casual time away virtually anywhere in Australia, and the cost for everything from air fares, through car hire to accommodation was so prohibitive I checked overseas destinations. I asked one Australian motel owner why they were charging more than $250 a night for 2 without brekkie, and they said they had to recover from covid somehow. There's seriously flawed logic in this. The Pacific area was also pretty pricey, but Thailand, and lots of Asia were sensibly priced. I'm off on Saturday for 3 weeks - to Africa! What are others thoughts?
