About this item

-Fast-acting, moisture-activated deodorizing system: Ideal for small space households
-Tight clumps for an easy scoop
-99.9 percentage dust-free and low tracking
-Longer lasting; Less maintenance

Personally I would prefer clumping litter over non-clumping ones for easy scoop and this appears to have good reviews. Woolies are selling this for $24.

  • Thanks just picked some up. Not as pleased with this in recent years, it doesn't clump as well as it used to. Cat still loves it, though.

  • Think I bought the last of the stock (2 red, 5 blue). Can't even add 1 to cart anymore. Hopefully it will restock tmr.

  • I’d highly recommend trying pine wood cat litter if your cat isn’t fussy about texture. You have to get a sifting style litter tray for it, but it’s far superior to every litter type I’ve tried. Bonus is that it’s simply a recycled and reprocessed wood product, so you can dump it straight in your garden as a loose mulch or mix it into compost. You can get it in 14kg bags for $18 or buy the bulk equivalent which is sold for equine use which is even cheaper.

    • Far superior? Have you tried this one? Its pretty good. I dont really see how another type could be FAR superior. How so?

      • I’ve used the one that OP posted and pretty well every commonly available type.

Odour control, cost and easy disposal would be my reasons.

    • I also thought clumping litter is no good for cat’s respiratory systems (the dust they generate walking/scratching around in it). Can’t remember if it was our old vet or someone that told me.

    • I've seen people doing it on YouTube but you would have to custom made a sifting tray for it since the sifting stuff on the market isn't fit for pine wood pallet size. For the moment I just don't have the tools to do it but someday I might just do it, given its dirt cheap and it seems more convenience to clean once everything is set up

  • Once subscribed, can you cancel straight away? Subscribed at the normal price last week. D'oh.

    • Apparently you can. Yay.

  • Was using the Free and Clean Unscented but unfortunately is now discontinued. Any suggestions for alternatives? Thanks.

  • This is just sodium bentonite, yeah? Surely there's a way to get it cheaper. My cat isn't fussy, so long as it clumps, but it feels like it's been forever since Aldi (consistently the cheapest) has seemed to restock cat litter apparently anywhere in SA.

  • How is this different/ compared to the red 24/7 performance ?
