So I ordered something for $12, some donut fries, and instead I got someone else's order which was chocolate covered fried balls, a cup of ice cream, and a gritty milkshake. Now it wasn't much better than my original order but it came with more stuff. So my question is should I give the driver a thumbs up or down? The person who gets my actual order will probably give a thumbs down. I didn't want to complain to Uber because I don't want them to refund it and waste my lifetime refund limit on a $12 order. If I thumbs down the driver then he'll get two thumbs down in one night. Now the balls tasted kind of nasty and the drink was gritty with chocolate chunks, but overall it was slightly better than what I ordered. Also if I thumbs up then the Uber Eats detectives might think the person who got my order is lying if they thumbs down and complain. What is the right thing to do here?
Ok I found the store the mistaken order came from and they paid $39 for the food, plus $15 delivery because they don't over Uber Pass, which is like $54. But it tasted like crap, I think if they ended up with my donut fries then the other person really did get the better part of this deal…
There's no lifetime refund limits for incorrect orders. That's only for orders you cancel after being accepted by restaurant. Take pics of wrong order, complain and get your money back.
Human error mistakes happen but you can choose not to rate the driver at all if this is a big moral dilemma that'll stop you sleeping tonight.
