This or some powered passive speakers like the Edifiers? Looking for something for my partners office that she can just stream music from

This one is good for the price. Bass is a bit muddy if you turn bass boost on, would be perfect with a separate subwoofer. I use mine in the office and use Alexa to operate spotify via voice control.

For music, anything but a Soundbar

  • How would this compare vs a YAS108B?
And how would either of these compare vs the native speakers built into my Samsung Q80T 65"?
    Thanks! :)

Can somebody please help with YAS108B settings, it just won't auto connect when TV turns on.

Checked the cable ports and everything seems fine to me. I have to manually turn it ON.

    It is a Samsung TV.

    • connected with HDMI on the (E)ARC port?

      • Yes

        • is ARC actually turned on in the TV settings? could be an option like HDMI CEC

          • @yikes914: I checked it is turned On.

So myconnection is soundbar hdmi out to TV ARC in using HDMI cable.

But I have to manually turn ON soundbar everytime.

            • @BinnyC: Yep gotcha, not too sure then, my Samsung and LG both turn the soundbar on when I turn the TV on, that's why I was checking with you

Have you changed the output to the soundbar when the soundbar is off and tried turning it on from the TV?

              • @yikes914: I am sure I have but will check again. Thanks

                • @BinnyC: Got the same model and problem.
After latest firmware upgrade, problem solved….
                  Latest firmware is Ver. 9

Mine would always stuff up, I chose to go toslink cable as the HDMI would always fail

    • Try firmware update

I would recommend this if you have a separate subwoofer. Maybe not so much without it.

  • Great soundbar with plenty of bass.
Probably the best bang for buck IMO.
    Highly recommended.

    • Colour is different, not sure spec-wise though…

    • No, same thing different name. They're selling the black model for $179 and $239 at the same time lol. Might be "newer".

  • How's the virtual surround?

  • Not very good, mids are poor bass is very poor. I own this product.
