I'm not your mum, but you shouldn't eat these daily. And tidy up your room.

        Dad?

      • Agree, pure junk.
        Check out the ingredients..

  • Amazon will price match it

    • How ?

      • +6

Amazon often reduce their prices to match woolworths specials, likely wednesday when the catalogue goes live. Ozvictor isnt suggesting you ask Bezos for a price match hehe

        • haha thanks !

  • +4

    Is this better than Suimin?

    • No. Shin ramen are king

    • yes, at least you have real meat in it :)

  • Slurping noodles will go nicely with their lipstick for men

I actually think that was funny XD

  • And remember, Joey doesn’t share food so you’ll have to get one for yourself too.

Would jump on this but Im on keto.

    • +1

No problem, just eat it without the noodles.

Thanks for sharing your cool story

    • Bloody Atkins (and every rebranded fad diet version of it)

He died of a hearty and was obsease. Enough said.

    • No food for you, half a banana 50g haha
As much bacon and eggs and sausages is ok, haha
      Fad diets

      • Turn your G-rig into an A-rig with keto mate. Its like a skinless sausage… dont knock it until you've tried it, and im not talking sausages. As dumb as it sounds, short term keto is actually a strong tool for finding a healthy balanced diet and understanding how the body works. And if you have fat to lose you will lose it (or some of it) on a 4 week keto eat as much as you want diet.

        • oh yeah, want to lose fat -> eat more fat, haha.
I don't think anyone eating instant noodles like these are worried about fat loss, just a cheap feed.

Guess Atkins was aimed at epilepsy patients and short term use to begin with.
Anyway what happens after your 4 weeks, when you go back to normal foods?
These high fat diets have very little fibre, high in saturated fats and LDL cholesterol.

I wouldn't call eating mostly meat and fat a balanced diet, not to mention the cost with the price of meat (and burden on the animals & planet).

If anything you could try intermittent fasting, nothing crazy maybe 16/8. 8h over night is a fast anyway - prob not hard to have an earlier dinner and eat later in the morning.

People can try whatever and see what works for them. Just has to be sustainable in the long term, no point putting weight straight back on after the fad is over.
I'm not interested in keto/paleo/carnivore/caveman aka atkins though. A vegan keto would be super restrictive compared to normal keto.. which I'd argue is more restrictive than a plant based diet. Unlimited carbs fruit and veg is good (generally carbs 4 cal/g fats 9 cal/g)

  • Anything inside these besides noodles and a sachet of flavour powder?

Don't really get the appeal and willingness to pay double what a regular packet costs, is it just for the bowl?

    • +6

There is also a pouch of slow cooked meat with gravy/jus. Usually there are 3 pieces of meat. Meat size is between 20 cent coin and 50 cent coin.

    • +5

Yes has a pouch with meat and gravy in it, one with the seasoning, and one with a paste of some kind.

If you want to make it better, chuck a soft boiled egg in there with it.

100% Australia beef in a marinate, chilli paste, another type of paste and a flavour sachet

      Honestly these taste amazing

  • -2

    ichibum….

    • step 1 - warm the chilli packet in some hot water
step 2 - puncture it so its slow leaking. (beware, you may not be covered for damages by aami for slow leakage)
step 3 - sit on it where the itchiness is
      step 4 - rip

  • +2

ahh the only noodle bowl with actual beef in it and flavoursome as well ! Rarely goes on half price, too costly for $5 but worth it for $2.50. go GRAB EM!

  • I love noodles but 2580mg of sodium seems excessive. Ok for an occasional treat though but I'd advice on not eating these regulary.

    • *advise
Good advice however;), 1500mg per day is the recommended max

  • +1

    Why does everyone love noodles?

    • it's that or chicken feet.

    • Noodles of all types are great, bit of variety.
Instant ones are addictive from the salt fat sugar spice:). Just better adding veg and making it more healthy and even throwing away the seasoning and making your own.

Ps prefer the shin ramen noodle cakes, but but fats buying any other type of less instant noodle but instant is convenient just not healthy.

  • I expected average but actually quite good for the price.

  • +1

Costco has 200 gram packs 6 for $16-18 range. For some reason we like Costco one's taste more. Maybe made for a different market. Less spicy.

    • Packets of salt and fat

  • Like the beef but the quality of the noodles is below average.
