Need a Clothes Dryer!

…The question is, do I wait until next month (EOFY)?

Alternatively, any ideas where the best offers would be at the moment in Melbourne?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Don't buy on price. Get an Auto-Sensing dryer, where you set the amount of moisture required, rather than taking a guess on a timer. Your clothes and your power bill will thank you for it.

  • You dont need a Dryer.
Australia is so dry that all clothings should dry out in no time.
Save money, saver energy, save space.

Using a dryer actually saves more space then hanging your washing out…

Especially if you have a family!

  • llama, I would love to do that, but unfortunately we don't have much money to go around.

Pumpkin, I see you live in Brisbane, I wish I did too, because drying clothes between April and October is very difficult in Melbourne ;)

I'm looking in the $250-400 range.

Huh?? You can easily get an Auto-Sensing dryer for $400. They are not that much more expensive than a standard dryer

      Example: http://www.getprice.com.au/Fisher-Paykel-DE50F56E-Dryer.htm

    • Same here. Clothes go damp and mouldy before they go dry.

you can buy this report to have a look at it.
but if u want to look at it free, choice magazines are usually available in libraries for reading.

  • With the tax on carbon you are crazy to use clothes dryers. Use the sun & wind, keep a clean tracksuit on standby though. I often wear the same clothes for two days instead of one now, the trick I use is I will just change one part of the clothing say the pants but still wear the top, day after change the top but keep the same pants on so you still look different each day.
