[Android] $0 Minesweeper Pro @ Google Play

2310

Enjoy:)

This is the ad-free version. Enjoy the classic look and feel of the game as you work to mark the mines without uncovering one. You use the numbers of a revealed square to tell you how many mines are next to that square. Using logic, you figure out where the mines are and mark them. Watch out! If you make a mistake, a mine will explode!

        GORILLAS.BAS?

ah, the memories! first multiplayer game…. albeit taking turns on the one computer with one on the left and one on the right…

I used to love throwing it flat out through the buildings not over them to punch a hole through in a few turns!

        Angle:
        Velocity:

None other than young Bill Gates himself did some of the work on it, but not as much as he did Donkey.BAS. It was mainly done by their intern / students I believe along with Nibbles.

          What about disturbing the sun,
as the banana passes "through it" .
          ^_^

          • @whyisave: You know it's dialled when you shave off the sun's rays without going through it.

Who else used to adjust the explosion radius and then wait a few minutes for the exploision to 'happen' each time the banana made contact?

          • @whyisave: yes true - I'd forgotten that until you said…

i wasted even more time on gorillas than adjusting screensaver settings like colours and custom messages in Marquee, the 3D maze, and good old "Mystify" for the different coloured polygon patterns that flipped all around the screen in Win 3.1

Tested the power of the good old ~20kg 386!

Today's phones should be fast enough to emulate Windows 95, another way to play Minesweeper

      • +1

Phones from over 10 years ago probs already have

    • I still play on Windows 95 :D

Great app, but nothing beats using a mouse, it's too easy to accidentally clear a block instead of marking it.

    • +1

Yeah I played this daily (my go-to "I need a break") last time it was free (just a few weeks ago), but I uninstalled it because apparently my fingers are too fat - way too frustrating making mistakes

      • You can adjust the size of the blocks if that helps

        • Yeah - I worked through from biggest down to smallest. I guess I could go back to just playing on a small grid (with bigger blocks). It was my go-to game, I'm missing it :)

There used to be a function where you could check the cells and the face would change if there was a mine or not in the old windows. the apps don't seem to have it

    Minesweeper Pro

Almost as good as the IBM OS/2 version !!!

  • if in uninstall, does it have a special when i search in playstore again?

  • Yes once you've downloaded it, it will always been free on your account.

  • Best procrastination game ever, just downloaded and played, somehow by intuition, long press gives a flag, still lost when only 2 mines left :(

This is actually free if you visit Syria or any war torn country and its in 8K unlike this 480p version so don't bother

  • this runs way better on windows 1000 fps.

  • Also a bunch of minesweeper apps free and open source at Fdroid
