Best buttershortbread brands

Hi guys!

I was wondering if you can suggest me your favourite shortbread brand which is buttery not overly sweet and crunchy.

Also if you have a favourite macadamia shortbread brand that would be so much appreciated.

Apart from Walkers I'm not too familiar with other brands. I also went to Harris Farm yesterday and bought Borlands, it's not that great.

Thanks guys 😊

Coles have their own-brand ones which are rather good. Not a fan of the WW or Arnotts ones though.

Nothing beats the crumbly buttery goodness of Walkers though.

General rule of thumb - minimum 30% butter or GTFO. From memory Walkers are at 32% (I feel like they were 33% a couple years ago), not many others hit the 30% mark. I did have one own-brand recently which was not bad, may have been Coles…

    Kookas Country Cookies

  • I like Paradise's Macadamia. And the Byron Bay Cookies are nice too

    Arnotts Scotch Finger.
Scottish Walkers short bread - available around Christmas time, made with Scottish butter.
Danish butter cookies Royal Dansk - also at Christmas time, made with Danish butter.
I also like the Byron Bay Cookies with macadamia. Made in Australia.

Those are all my faves, and I buy them when I see them.
The Byron Bay Cookies are sometimes half price at Woolies in the small packets but you can also find large glass jars at Christmas time.

Best value is the Walkers Fingers at woolies for $3 (on a per kg basis)

For me the best are either Unibic for $3 (33% butter) or ALDI shortbread $1.89? (30% butter). Both are made in Australia too.
