Yep crazy prices, it's more expensive than my entire setup. But I guess some people just want performance at whatever cost it takes.
With RTX 4000 series just around the corner, $2.4K is pretty steep for a king that is about to be dethroned
Good luck with the cheap 40 series….
rtx 4070 should pars with this 3090 Ti ?
or 4080 ?
The rtx3090ti is a 450w card… if the rtx4080 is also 450w then good chance the rtx4080 would be faster based on performance per watt
there is still a chance that some schmucks didn't learn and offload cheap 30 series before 40 series is confirmed a paper launch lol
Guarantee it.
The 'magical' $700rrp US Card that smashes a card many times it's value… sure :)
4000 series won't be a paper launch, it's been delayed by several months to try and clear Ampere stock which is now massively oversupplied. Even if it does get scalped initially, the 3000 series and RDNA2 will be having half price clearance sales.
Nvidia is trying to cut back on their 4N wafer orders (for Lovelace GPUs) with TSMC knowing they're going to have way too many GPUs to try and sell over the next 12 months, but TSMC told them no lol.
True but if I understand correctly, the 3090 Ti appeals to the those wanting the best of the best. It doesn't make sense to drop $2.4k just to be best for like 3 months and likely get beaten by a RTX 4080.
Agree, but remember all the people flogging off sub $1k 2080tis…..
That didn't work out well did it?
@scuderiarmani: If you've already got the card then stick with it but I wouldn't go out and buy one at this stage.
Not that I'd ever buy something like this lol
@scuderiarmani: Highly unlikely we're going to have another mining boom, but Jensen is hoping for one lol, or else Ngreedia are in big trouble.
3090 Ti might even get beaten by a 4070. The 4080 will walk all over it.
Steadily watching the resale value of my 3090 decline T_T
Well I mean if you bought technology expecting it to hold its value then I don't know what to say
bought x2 for my Diablo Immortal rig. pretty sure smoother gambling animation will increase your luck.
The king will be retiring soon..
use your tax money credit on this
4090 gonna be 3k
According to leaks, 4090 will be significantly faster but more expensive than 3090, so not unlikely to be more expensive than 3k.
yeah its a hard pill to swallow but 4090 was gonna be overkill for gamers unless 8k or 4k high frames
Is the 4080 rumoured to be around 30% increase over the 3080?
And is the 3090 Ti around the same, 30% over the 3080..?
I wonder what kind of prices we will see when the 4080 launches.. And also, what kind of stock will be available..
As someone who plays in 4k and is chasing 120fps I'm hanging for more power..
Need a crystal ball!! 😂
4070 and 4080 are 60% performance jumps. Nvidia have actually nerfed them somewhat because they're created an AD103 die to move them down the product stack as there's no GA103 equivalent (3080/3070 use GA102/GA104, whereas 4080/4070 will be AD103/AD104).
The 4090 is using AD102 and rumoured to be an 100% increase, which is what it was thought the 4070 and 4080 would be.
You aren't getting 100% improvements. The 30% is realistic.
Another tremendous card not hamstrung by the LHR industry. I shed a tear thinking of all the wasted potential of cards. A real beauty, I will have to add it to the collection.
Lol costs 2.5x my computer, pretty sure I have an organ spare
